It was something that she might not understand, but it was the least of my concerns right now. My eyes met my brother’s as I walked down, my father smiled as he looked at me. A smile formed on his face and he walked toward me, and Carlos rolled his eyes. I was his biggest threat, I knew that for fact. He knew that he was going to try and prove himself with this marriage, but to do it this way, I was surprised. The child, Louis’s, cried, and he maid who was holding him started rocking him, wanting him to calm down.

"I am really sorry for that. He didn't mean it I swear!" She uttered apologetically as Serena chuckled at her restlessness. Feeling funny about the situation, Serena waved her hand. "It's okay, happens. It wasn't his fault by the way!" Serena laughed it off as Nicole took a sigh to that before reciprocating her joyous laughter. Apparently Serena got to know that her rude brother-in-law hadn't had much good interactions with his neighbours. People don't get along with him, she can clearly see. Not one decent interaction till now.

Theo, as if not accepting, chose to get rid of Rose's hand on his back. "Remember our business isn't done yet. I won't just let you go," he continued before the door was locked tightly by Rose. Rose came back to me with a look that was hard to interpret. "I'm sorry, Bridgette." "Because of me, there was a misunderstanding between you and your brother. I'm sure Oracle must be with him. He must have been suspicious of what I said. Your brother is no fool, Bridgette."

They looked at one another, then exhaled in one sharp, collective breath loud enough to make me flinch. “You are worried about this?” Louis laughed as he settled back against the couch. “Here we were terrified of what would happen to you if Levante married another woman.” My eyes widened. “What?” “We even planned to swap the groom, just so you could stay with Levante. Do you have any idea what my stupid brother has been doing these past two weeks?” Louis scoffed. I turned toward Levante. “They know?” He shook his head. “Then what did he do?”

Then he let go. I brought the phone to my ear. “Luca.” “Noah. Thank God.” His voice cracked with relief. “Please, come home. I need to see you.” “I can’t. Luca, your mother….” He cut me off. “We had a huge fight about it this morning. I promise I’ll make her apologize to you. Please—I just need to see you. Before the game.” Right. The championship. It started today—what would put both brothers on the same ice in front of a stadium full of people who had no idea what they were fighting over.

Jason asked his brother, a mixture of disbelief and shock evident on his face as he stared at the sport car Jordan had gotten him as a gift. "Well, that depends on whether you want it or not, I've always known that you wanted a car like this, and I knew dad wasn't going to get you one." "so here I'm just being your big brother and getting you this, nothing more, But if you don't like it, let me know and I can take my gift back," Jordan said, a slight smirk playing on his lips.

Desperate to break the tension, Laura blurted out, “So, uh, Dr. Walker… any friends or family coming today? Or am I the only third wheel here?” Louis quickly wiped his mouth and turned to Adora. “I forgot to mention that my brother and Nathan will be meeting us there. We’re having lunch together afterward.” Adora blinked. “Your brother? He’s coming too?” “Yeah.” Laura looked just as surprised. “So… does that mean your family’s giving their blessing?” Louis’ expression shifted slightly. “That’s not really the point. But at least my brother’s not against it.” Which made things clear—his family wasn’t on the same page.

Lily burst into tears, yelling, "How could you lay a hand on me, Mateo! Have you forgotten why I lost Maverick? You would have been the one who died if he hadn't stepped in that day! Mateo would be overwhelmed with guilt whenever she mentioned Maverick in the past, but this time, his expression remained completely unmoved.

I smiled at him and rubbed my eyes as I nodded to him. His car was already parked in some parking area inside a building. It's been a month since we started our relationship. Rhon decided to visit his brother, he used to share with me the story about his brother. How they met him and how he became part of their small yet rich family. His younger brother was his only sibling. And he was always happy when we talked about him, that's why I really wanted to meet him as well, I already saw him in pictures that Rhon showed me but seeing his brother in person would be much better.
