I ask hopefully. “He was handsome,” she says after a beat, staring out the window. “Brown hair. Dark eyes.” She pauses. “His friends were, too. All … very good-looking.” My jaw tightens. Brown hair. Dark eyes. It’s not our Enrique. “One guy was tall, smoldering, with black hair, blue eyes,” she says. “He didn’t talk much.” A beat. “Another one looked sort of like a young Chris Evans.” Great, Captain America and his side-kick is after us.

First day on the job and I’m hauling my camera bag through the arena tunnels, heart hammering because this was supposed to be my break through. I had studied this team like the palm of my hand. I spotted him right away. Riven Holt. Captain. Star forward. The guy everyone talked about like he was some kind of hockey god. Tall, built like he could break someone in half without trying, dark hair messy from practice, jaw set like he was permanently pissed off. He was barking orders at some rookies near the bench, voice sharp enough to cut glass. “New girl,” he called out when he noticed me standing there fiddling with my lens. “You the photographer? Let’s see what you got from warm-ups.”

"I should have moved the flash drive right after he saw me. Stupid. Now the kid pays for my mistake." "Not just yours" I replied bumping his knee with mine under the bench. "We both let it hang. But Toby is tough. He might be laying low somewhere scared. We get through three periods then we call his roommate again. Check the practice facility." Kade leaned closer voice barely above a whisper. "And if Vance has him? You know what that means for us. They come for the captain next. For the guy whose dad started this whole rotten chain." I met his eyes steady. "Then we fight smarter. Expose the ledger faster. But first we beat Boston. No letting them score easy because our heads are elsewhere."

I notice Oskar, his shirt hair glued to his face by the water. He laughs once our eyes connect, and he pulls himself to the surface. “What do we have here? It's Captain Densberry. Or do I say Captain America?” His teammates laugh, but I don't even blink. “Are you Oskar Wallin?” I nod at him, even though I know the obvious. He snorts, as if offended that I don't know him. That's what I asked that question with the obvious answer. “Is this you trying to be funny or something?” He asks. “are you trying to say that you don't know who I am? Oskar Wallin? Captain of the Bisons?”

Erica and I swiped our key cards and retrieved visitor passes from the reception desk for my brother and the other wolf. "My name is Alec," he introduced, "I am the one meant to be watching Jason today." Alec was tall with a broad, muscular build. His t-shirt clung to his biceps but was loose around the torso and his jeans were snug around the thighs. You didn't have to look twice to figure out that this guy worked out—going to the gym seemed like it should be his entire personality. He was fairly handsome, too, he was missing a head of hair but that gave him a rugged edge.

It broke my heart once I saw the look Lena had on her face when she arrived back home at around 9pm, she cried for about an hour thinking the worst possible scenarios would happen to Jack while he was away. I let her cry for an hour but after that it was it, no more because we are about to have some serious fun, so to start it off MOVIE NIGHT whoops! and the best part was that we started with Captain America.
