“She smiles more now.” Tommy grinned slowly. “Maybe somebody should stop bullying her then.” I rolled my eyes. “I don’t bully her.” All three of them stared at me silently. Then Tyler burst out laughing. “BRO.” I grabbed a pillow and threw it directly at his face. But even while they laughed— One thought stayed stuck in my head. Hannah Foster was changing. Slowly. Quietly. And somehow… I had a feeling our story was only beginning.

“I swear to god Axton-” “I’m sorry” Axton starts, stepping close to me. He doesn’t reach for me, but his blue eyes are locked on me. “For the bullying, the hitting. For all of it. It was wrong, and I never, ever should’ve done any of it. If I could change things, mate or not, I would.” the drop of the word mate makes me tense. “They know. Cassandra found out, and they overheard her hate speech” Axton adds, and then he's gripping my shoulders and turning me around. Adam, Axton’s closest friend clears his throat.

I replied “Oh, alright. My name's Dave, what's yours?” He asked “Brielle” I told him “Brielle, you're very pretty, with a pretty name” “Thank you” I replied, already starting to get irritated and bored of this conversation. Classic old tales with boys, saying the same things to compliment a girl and impress her. “So I was wondering if you'd like to exchange social media….” “I'm sorry but i'm not in a good mood right now as my ex bully or rather soon to be step brother ruined my entire day and im not in the mood to talk to anyone” I said, cutting him off..

He had a deep voice that almost reminded me of Ragnarok of the Vikings. "What do you want?" He had his signatory smile while approaching me. He was taller and muscular. Blake was another popular guy in the school, and he was also my bully. He always finds every means to bully me. It made me wonder most times, if he was obsessed with bullying weaker people. "Don't you act like a stupid idiot right now" He said, his smile quickly morphing into rage. "Putting stupid and idiot in the same sentence isn't right" I tried to refrain myself from saying it but I was too late.

I stared into his hollow eyes. "Giovanni, did you bully me because I was poor? Or because you knew, deep down, that you were the worthless one?" He froze, a brief flicker of alarm in his eyes at being so thoroughly exposed. I stood up and shifted my gaze to Mr. Rossi, who was drenched in cold sweat. "Mr. Rossi, you bear the greatest responsibility for what Giovanni has become. You thought money could fix everything in this world, so he grew up believing he could bully anyone without ever paying the price."

one of the girls slurred. “Yeah you’re right.” the first girl hummed. She lowered her voice. “But hey, what about that other girl, Wren?” My eyes widened as I pushed myself against the wall. Now they were onto me?! “What about her?” “Cyrus seems awfully interested in her.” the first girl slurred. They were trying to keep the conversation seem like a secret but their drunk selves have underestimated their loud volumes. I pinched the bridge of my nose as these girls would go so far as to think bullying would make a man interested in a girl.

But the entire walk to my room, one thought follows me. I keep waiting for Beckett Cross to become easy again. To fit back into the box I’ve always kept him in. The bully. The jerk. The guy who makes my life miserable. Instead, every time I think I’ve figured him out, he does something that doesn’t fit. And somehow… That’s becoming harder to ignore than the things that do.

"You're Nikolai Park right?" One of the guys asks. The victim nods his head. Victim = Kolya. These five male students appear to be the bullies you watch in movies. Even the way they look fits the character of a bully. You know, the stereotypical look: lip piercing, the first four buttons of their uniform are open, their hair is full of wax, and their bodies are damn big—like they can crush Kolya in a blink of an eye.
