After we’ve played in the pool for about an hour and a half, I notice the children are starting to flag so I suggest we get dry and have our picnic near the pond and reiterate to Harry that we’re going near it, not in it! The picnic was a welcome sight to us all and we dig into croissants, strawberries, watermelon, cupcakes and biscuits. The ducks waddle out of the pond, and we throw them some food. Harry tries to follow them, but I remind him again not to get too close to the pond. Mumma Raben I gotsted a bunny wike you!” Phoenix links excitedly while running into me with her bunny in her mouth, and everyone laughs. “You got a very good bunny, I managed to find one too,” I giggle at how adorable she is, and place my bunny next to hers making her giggle. “Bunnies good chase, fun hunt,” Phoenix admits, making me nod watching her lay down and begin to chow down on her prey.

My voice is nothing but a whiny whisper as I trot away. I don’t find a spot in the grass, under a tree, secluded from people. Apparently, that’s where everyone wants to go. I do, however, find an empty picnic table that someone just vacates. I fill the tabletop up with the baskets to keep anyone else from joining me...as if they would. What seems like an eternity later they return with one, very small bun with hardly any glaze.

They both loved the idea of having a cozy picnic indoors and being able to enjoy each other's company without any interruptions. In their living room, Carmen quickly set up a picnic blanket, complete with a basket filled with delicious treats. She ordered some of their favorite snacks, like finger sandwiches, a fresh fruit platter, and some chocolate-dipped strawberries for dessert. A chilled bottle of sparkling juice awaited them to toast to the impromptu picnic. With everything ready, Carmen and Kay snuggled up on the blanket, giggling and sharing loving glances. The sun rays peeking through the curtains illuminated their little picnic spot, creating a warm and intimate atmosphere.

"But with you, it feels easier." We kept walking until we reached a small clearing between the vines, opening onto a sweeping view of green valleys stretching all the way to the horizon. It was quiet and secluded, the perfect spot for the picnic we'd planned. "This feels like a good place to relax," I suggested. "What do you say we have our picnic here?" "It's perfect," Annie said, spreading the checkered blanket over the grass. We started setting up our meal, pulling cheeses, bread, and fresh fruit from the basket Annie had prepared that morning. Christian had insisted we take a special bottle from the winery, which now rested beside the rest of the spread.

A playful light of the sun that's about to end in a fine afternoon. Red and white blanket against the soft green grass meters away from the lake shore. This picnic is set up in the same way that I imagined it. There's a basket of fruits in the middle, a charcuterie board filled with cold cuts, berries, cheese, sandwiches and wine. Prince Orius offered me his hand. Just like earlier, he is the first one to jump off from Ace. He turned back his body to me afterwards helping me out of Ace's back too.

“The photo---?” “Clearly photo shopped,” I replied, knowing that there was no way anyone inside the club was dealing. Or outside of it, for that matter! Sure, some of the prospects used and sometimes I was guilty of smoking a little weed myself, but never did we deal and never any of the strong shit! Least of all Bunny! Hell, the kid did exactly three things in his life: fucked, rode his bike and sat in front of his computer. And that’s usually when he ate as well… “We haven’t touched a bag of anything white for over 10 years,” Prez added and looked back at Grace, who seemed to be stunned at the revelation. Blinking, she shifted her gaze to Bunny, who just nodded his confirmation.

“Why do I get the feeling that nickname is going to catch on?” We ate our picnic beneath the light of the stars. There were strawberries, blueberries, and chunks of pineapple; there was white chocolate, hot tea, and crumbling biscuits. We sat cross-legged opposite one another, and we fed each other berries and chocolate, cast in the silvery light of the moon. Samyak swept me up in his strong arms, and pulled me up, onto my feet, into a hug. I toed my shoes off onto the picnic blanket, and we danced together, kicking up sand with every step.

I’m the Luna of the first pack to be rebuilt for our new future. And that’s about to get a lot brighter. Mandy steps out from one of the houses nearby. “Here you go, Luna.” She hands me my picnic basket. It’s a little heavy, and Devon takes it without hesitation to carry it for me. “We’re going on a picnic?” he asks. “Yep,” I say. “Follow me.” We walk side by side through the forest for some time before we get to our destination, a small clearing by a babbling brook. The greenery is so vibrant here, with so many different plants feeding off the water that every color of green is represented.

“But the delivery is late.” “I hope they deliver chocolate at least,” River scrubs with Lili backing her up with intensive head nodding. Jackson turned Black Pit into a well-organized farming community. They produce almost everything here … from peaches to carrots … to … bacon. I’m not sure about chocolate. “There are lots of bunnies in the forest on the mountain,” Lili announces dreamily, off topic. And now I’m wondering — what else is in that forest? Bares? Snakes? Cougars?
