“Why do I get the feeling that nickname is going to catch on?”
We ate our picnic beneath the light of the stars. There were strawberries, blueberries, and chunks of pineapple; there was white chocolate, hot tea, and crumbling biscuits. We sat cross-legged opposite one another, and we fed each other berries and chocolate, cast in the silvery light of the moon.
Samyak swept me up in his strong arms, and pulled me up, onto my feet, into a hug. I toed my shoes off onto the picnic blanket, and we danced together, kicking up sand with every step.
