Something about the plight of the innocent girl had affected Sam though. He identified with her on a deeper level and that released some of the nervous tension he kept bottled up. My thinking is that I add an authors note a the end of 'book' 1 so to speak and re-write the synopsis to advise any new readers that it will be 2 books in one. Alternatively, the other idea I had was to just have a longer book, but I don't want the length to scare off new readers. Thanks in advance! :)
