“Laura!”
A sweet, familiar voice called to me. Purple eyes looked deep into my own, similar and yet different.
“Laura” the voice repeated a sense of love and safety washing over me.
“You’ve grown so much.” I felt my face smile as I welcomed the sensations, blinking as the face swirled into a man’s. His purple eyes swimming with joy as he stared into mine.
“Laura?” Domini’s voice called as I felt my body shake, I opened my eyes wide to see his panicked expression.
“Whhhat?” I exclaimed as he continued to shake me. He stopped as relief flooded his face.
“You were cold….” He muttered as his voice broke, I stared at him confused as his eyes watered. Before I could say or protest he pulled me into him again almost crushing me with a hug.
“You scared me.” He spoke again into my hair as I pushed against him.
“Domini? What the hell?”
He released me before tossing my hair.
“I swear you are going to give me a hear
Hello everyone! My sincerest apologies but due to extensive life problems updates on this Novel have been pushed back. Unfortunately, I am currently trying to secure new accommodation and have mental health issues needing to be looked at. I am aiming for at least 2 chapters a fortnight but please be patient with me. Thank you everyone for your understanding
Suspiciously I located Xander rather quickly, giggling in conversation with Anya behind the packhouse behind some of the forestry. I felt my heart pang at the sight of them remembering the Luna cussing him out, was it true? I watched in anger as he placed his hand against Anya’s cheek, his lips moving into a small smile. The same smile he used to give me. I felt my hands begin to shake as it hit me, it was all true. He never loved me, probably never even cared. I watched as he bent down towards Anya’s lips, time slowing as they connected. The rumors were true. I barged over to them, the heat of my anger seeming to radiate off of me. “Laura?” Xander gasped looked at me as if he was a child caught with his hand in a cookie jar. Anya looked between us confused. I stood, glaring at him. “What is this?” I asked through gritted teeth gesturing between him and Anya. Anya raised her eyebrow questioningly as Xander just looked everywhere but my gaze. “It’s not
The pit of despair and dread forming deep inside me had my mind a mess of thoughts. For so long I had been happy about being Xander’s mate, but now that I knew the truth? How could I be with him…? How could I be his mate? I bit the inside of my lip trying to swallow the bile that threatened to come up at the thought of being with him at all. Even the idea of his touch felt wrong, disgusting, and vile. I heaved as I approached Domini’s and my room, thankful that he would be out on patrol or aiding the Alpha and I could be alone with my thoughts. I stopped a moment my hand floating above the door handle as I heard a crash come from inside. I groaned internally not wanting to talk about what had happened today, knowing that he was correct about Xander. However, Anya’s sly smile came to mind as I remembered her finding her mate in Bella and felt myself grin again. I wasn’t sure exactly why my heart loved them together but it was adorable. I giggled recalling Bella’s excitement at possib
I waved goodbye as Ellen and Micheal left for their own place a huge grin plastered on my face as I felt good for the first time in a long while. Domini’s door creaked open as he poked his head out a look of concern on his face as he whispered, “Is she gone?” I felt my grin wavier as I took in his expression. “Yes? Micheal and Ellen just left?” My voice said with uncertainty, my mind again wondering what had happened between them as Domini left out a relieved sigh. He opened his door and walked into the kitchen as if nothing was amiss, I cleared my throat to get his attention as I raised an eyebrow questioningly. He gave me an odd nervous smile. “Oh, well…” He paused, running his hand through his hair looking past me out the open door. His eyes flicked back to me before he sighed, I held firm and crossed my arms showing him I was not going to let this go. He groaned before speaking. “I just… Ellen… I…” his tone seemed panicked.
What did this mean for me? I mean, obviously, it meant I was a descendant of power, is that why I wasn’t afraid of Victor? Who were my parents? What about my mother? My head was swimming with so many questions, my heart was beating fast as I felt my hands become clammy. I stared down at my mother and father, Luna Ashly’s words coming back into my mind: “My dear Laura, I promised your mother that I would keep you safe. I promised your father that no harm would come to you… There are some things I can never tell you… the promises I made both of them prohibit it.” I stared so long at them both trying desperately to understand what this meant that I did not notice Domini approach me. “Laura?” He asked touching my shoulder softly, I jumped and turned around to scold him. “Don’t sneak up on me! You almost gave me a panic attack!” Domini smirked for a moment before noticing the photo album in my hands. “What’s that?” He asked as he made a move to gra
I felt a sensation of pleasurable warmth cover my entire being as a delicious scent washed over my nose. A face appeared amongst the darkness, I for some reason was hyper-focused on its lips. A milky coffee color, the top lip met in a point as I noticed the jaw was covered in some stubble. My heart seemed to leap in excitement as the lips drew closer to me, a sensation of desire growing in the pit of my stomach. A low growl escaped the parted lips as a mess of black hair moved across the cheek, I leaned forward crushing my lips into theirs. Immediately I felt myself moan as the softness of theirs brushed against mine, it felt right. ‘Mine.’ A masculine voice growled out as felt my body shake awake. I blinked rapidly confused as I felt my chest heave from shortness of breath. My room came into focus with the soft sunrise light pouring in. I sat up surprised as my sheets were sticking to my skin, my stomach felt… strange. Like I was hungry… but not for food? I bit my l
“ENOUGH!” Alpha Clide bellowed out, Victor did not budge holding his nose against my chest so I could not get up. “Alpha” Bella said meekly, I moved my head to see Anya had shifted back to her human form. Her head was bleeding pretty badly. The Alpha stopped a moment looking at Anya before giving Bella a sympathetic look. “Child, she will be okay. Once you shift you become a lot sturdier.” Bella nodded but still looked incredibly worried. “Laura?” Luna Ashly called out in concern, seeing me under Victor’s wolf she rushed over. “What is the meaning of this? Alpha Victor? Clide?” She asked, her tone turning hot and angry. Clide looked away nervously from her as Victor seemed to stare into my very soul. “Clide, you promised me…” Ashly started, venom in her tone as he sighed with defeat. “Alpha Victor, we spoke about this.” He said in almost a pleading tone before Victor growled moving off me. I stayed laying there not trus
A sense of dread had completely taken over my being as I cradled Luna Ashly in my arms. I felt almost cold, focused on the task at hand. I glanced down and shuddered at the bare flesh of her neck, her exposed muscles throbbing as blood attempted to filter through her vessel. I looked back ahead of me, carefully stepping back through the forest begging for someone, anyone to be outside when I arrived. The Goddess must have heard my prayers as soon as I stood foreword from the tree line screams of fear and sadness echoed out.“Blood?”“Who’s injured?”“Luna!”“NO!”I felt my own hot tears sit at the corners of my eyes as many people stared at me and the Luna. I continued walking forward screaming for someone to help, Alpha Clide rushed forward pushing people out of his way to approach us. His eyes were already full of dread, grief, and anger.“What…” He managed to choke o
It hadn’t been much longer after Victor left that I passed out again. Waking up to the taste of something so sweet, almost floral in my mouth. I drank up the liquid quickly and with almost a desire for more. “Slow down Laura…” Herman’s voice called out “I mean, Luna Laura” he corrected himself as someone scoffed. I opened my eyes as Herman was screwing a lid back onto a flask, giving me an exhausted smile. “That should have done it, you will be feeling much better now I think.” He paused giving me a once over before he let out a satisfied sigh. I felt overjoyed as I felt my body reconnected to my brain, I moved all my fingers and toes before stretching out and hearing that ever-satisfying snap of my bones. But the pain soon flooded through me as I winced, looking down at my bare arms I saw pink fresh skin. “Ah, yes,” Herman muttered before he put cold cream on my arms, massaging them delicately but still causing some pain. I mus
