DeLuca’s men froze, their eyes widening as they realized what was coming next. “Go, go!” DeLuca barked, shoving one of his men away. But it was too late. I grabbed a stray flare from the ground, striking it against my boot. The bright red light hissed to life in my hand. Without hesitation, I hurled it toward the leaking fuel. The flare hit the puddle of gasoline, igniting it in an instant. Flames erupted, licking up the sides of the boat and engulfing it in seconds.
