The flames disappeared right in front of them, it wasn’t even able to reach the monster. Elizabeth was brought down to her knees as she saw the massive size of Fenrir, they looked like insects standing in front of the wolf. But what shocked her the most was when the illusion disappeared. The sand that they were standing on was not simply sand, but bones which were crushed so thinly that they had turned to sand. The materials that reflected the sun's rays were items that were used by people, such as glasses, mirrors, broken shards from blades or cloth that were made from reflective silk.

With my arms and legs spread out, I reach for my sword as I spin around in the air. Waiting for the right moment, until it looks like the sand is about to punch me in the face, I swing with all my might and unleash a massive flame. Screaming as I swing my sword, the force of it and the hot air from my fire push me back. Together, they soften my landing as I fall right onto a sand dune. Rolling down it, I hit the bottom and stop. "Ahh," I cry out. Having to split out some sand and dust myself off, I then look around. As far as my eyes can see, there's nothing around me but sand, sand, and sand dunes.

That’s no fire; look at the sewer grate!” A slithering black sand came pouring out of the street’s sewer grate toward the boys and over the cockroaches they previously were fleeing. As the black sand passed over the pile of dead roaches, it either ate them or dissolved them, for after the sand had left, there were no dead roaches in sight!

It was half a meter in diameter with vicious purple arching flames. With her center, her pained heart, she threw it at the Alphas. It flew at them like a sun hurtling through space. It consumed the floor, the walls, and even the air. It hit its target and splashed purple fire like liquid across the scene. The walls lit in a bright purple orange haze, licking at everything in sight. The Alphas screamed. Their tech suits flashed, but couldn't counteract the heat. The very sand on the floor turned to glass as their bodies withered.

A sizzling sound echoed across the desert as white smoke drifted into the air. Tzzzlaaa... As the white smoke drifted higher and higher, the crowd suddenly heard the sound of flurried footsteps sounding from afar. Two sandmen were now bolting in their direction! "There are two of them!!!!!" Whether it sense that there were two groups in the area at the moment. Or they already notice that one of their comrades was easily defeated by these warlocks and so it asked for reinforcement, the group will now be facing two sandmen all at the same time!

The ending created by silly words lost its weight at this point. I hovered above the bookmark sign at the top right corner of the screen before clicking on it. The menu popped up, and I chose to delete the book from my homepage. A notification popped up at the center of the screen. [Are you sure you want to delete the book? This process is irreversible.] I clicked confirm. The progress bar completed in a flash, and the book vanished without a trace from my homepage. Ding! My phone lit up. I received a text. My eyes fell back on the monster, noticing their hesitation as their sand-crusted limbs shivered. The barest edge of hope flickered within me. “Be gone.” A voice said from the glow. I watched as the creatures sizzled and smoked where the glow touched their forms. A low grinding sound rose from the dunes as rocks split in slow motion. Limbs bent, then crumbled, shedding molten sand that dripped into the dunes like liquid stone. The hollow pits where their eyes had glowered shrieked Ik ember sparks, then went dark. They disintegrated from inside out, their forms collapsing into heaps of dust and grit that the wind lazily swept away.

“I was waiting for you.” Dominic pulled him close. “Never again.” --- But as they rose, a new explosion rocked the lower floors. The ceiling cracked. Dust rained down.
