THE ALPHA WANTS ME BACK
I turn the faucet on, splashing a few drops of water on my face.
“You are okay, Kookie,” I say to myself, gripping the edge of the sink.
When I am stable, I turn the pee into the toilet, flushing it. Then, I wrap the stick and cup in a plastic bag, leaving the room. I find my way out of the house, disposing of it in the commercial bin outside the house.
I force a smile onto my face, making my way into the house. When I get closer to the kitchen, my stomach rumbles. I pause by the door, fixing my face before walking in cheerfully.
