Animals of all kinds did not want to harm him. I watched as he set the butterfly on a flower petal, his small fingers gentle, his smile soft. The butterfly flapped its wings, yet remained close, as if not ready to leave him just yet. I crossed my arms over my chest as I watched. “Look, Mama!” Adrian’s voice was a burst of joy. “She likes me! She doesn’t want to leave, do you think that it can come home with us for a while? But it wouldn’t have flowers if it did. I want to put it down because it needs flowers to live and make food.”

I look at all the flowers ranging from big to small, and of all colours like yellow, pink, red and purple. I crouch and kneel near a pink flower, I see a butterfly sitting on top of it. Lightly swaying its wings back and forth in a beautiful motion , making me feel mesmerized. I reach forward to capture it by its wings when my moms words stop me. "Damien" I turn towards her when I hear her disapproving voice. "Butterflies can't see their wings. They can't see how truly beautiful they are but everyone else can. People are like that aswell. You should never try to ruin someone's beauty" she says softly.

The butterflies began to perform acrobatic acts. Some would say that getting butterflies from someone would mean that you are uncomfortable around them. Most of the time, they call it a red flag, a sign to stay away and never entertain them anymore. But why? It feels nice. "You missed me." "Huh?" He smirked as he focused on my face. He moved closer and smiled while placing some of my hair behind my ear. "I can see it in your eyes," he said. "How can you be so sure?" "I just know," he smirked again. It's like he knows how beautiful he is. He knows what he is doing, leaning a bit and biting his lip as he looked at mine. "The way you look at me, I can tell that you are happy to see me."

She walked towards Emmet genially, and without much of the anger or hated that she had previously brandished against him, as if she were a knight brandishing a holy sword of light and he were an evil dragon of sorts, mistreating peasants, burning down fields of crops, and collecting tithes of gold to hoard in some mountain cave. Silently, she offered the stand out towards Emmet, and he took a biscuit off it without much of a second thought. The one that he had chosen was adorned with red icing on the wings, outlined in black, and looking like the most stereotypical butterfly that one could think of, the poster boy of all butterfly species that one saw to promote documentaries and other sorts

I don’t know but even my baby body isn’t responding at the beautiful sight. “Look at that butterfly! It’s coming our way!” She excitedly said while pointing at a dark blue butterfly. It's so pretty. I mindlessly pulled up my hand to reach for it but in my shock, it landed on my cute winky hands. The butterfly looks so comfortable in it. It made me smile a little. “Oh, the butterfly loves your scent.” Said the maid. I still don’t know her name so for now I will call her that. “There’s this saying that once a butterfly lands on your hands, it means you’re precious and gifted.” She giggled. “My little lady is surely gifted!”

The butterfly kissed Amor on my behalf. An almost invisible smile slowly appeared on Amor’s face. Don’t blame me, it was your idea, I thought, controlling my laughter. My butterfly flew to Amor’s lips and I could feel Amor’s warmth on my lips, even their softness. It was then I realised how extensively I could use those butterflies because they weren’t my magic. They were a part of me I could separate from myself through magic. Gesturing to wipe his lips, Amor caught my butterfly between his fingers. He stroked my butterfly’s wings and a tingling sensation spread throughout my back. I almost gasped. I looked down, my heart pounding madly in my chest.

I am always interested in butterflies. These beautiful species were considered to be the reincarnation of the soul. In some belief butterflies is a personification of a person's soul; whether they are living, dying, or already dead. One superstition says that if a butterfly enters your guest room and perches behind the bamboo screen, the person whom you most love is coming to see you. Another superstition is that butterflies represent the soul, in some beliefs, it symbolizes rebirth.
