Her Game; His Obsession

Her Game; His Obsession

There was a leather couch in the corner, a bar cart with expensive-looking bottles of whiskey, and a window that overlooked the estate grounds. It was the kind of room that screamed power and control. The kind of room that belonged to a man like Jonathan Hart. I walked over to the bookshelves, running my fingers along the spines. Most of them were business books, biographies of CEOs and politicians, a few on philosophy. Then I noticed something odd. One of the shelves looked… different. Like it didn’t quite sit flush with the wall. I reached out and pressed against it gently. There was a soft click, and the shelf swung inward.

Caged Between The Beta & Alpha

Caged Between The Beta & Alpha

Soon I had begun to take every book off the shelf, shaking the pages, just in case, it was in there. An hour passed and I was almost done with the entire bookshelf, but no sign of the damn card. Where the fuck was it? Another few books and I was on the last one, but that card was nowhere to be found. Did it maybe slip under? I placed another book down before looking at the shelf. It was large, made of solid oak. You could see that the bottom shelf was at least five inches off the ground but there was no panel I could take off. Slowly I tried to move the shelf, cursing when I realised it was bolted to the wall.

Well... I loved the previous books so much but this one wasn't as good as them. Still, Muse is an amazing author. I'm glad I came across My Alpha's Betrayal and got lost in your stories. Love your books!

Little Ruby Red

Little Ruby Red

he announced while guiding me through the threshold. I sucked in a breath, awestruck. “Wow, this reminds me of Beauty and the Beast.” I drank in the impressive view of the floor-to-ceiling bookshelves that filled the perimeter of the room. There were ladders on runners that were attached to the top of the shelves. At the center of the library, there was a circular cherry wood table with four red upholstered chairs. In the middle of the back wall was an enormous set of glass French doors that open out onto a patio area. From there, you could step down onto a stone staircase that led into the gardens.

Awesome ... Loves this first love story of Caleb & Ruby even though the ending should be more exciting and also hints of a second book of their story and the kids. Hopefully the second book will be out soon.

This is easily one of my favorite books. It checks all my boxes. It's sweet, serious, and fun all at the same time much like the way real life could be. I can see a second book with these characters.

The Mafia’s possession

The Mafia’s possession

Somehow after all this time that still managed to catch her off guard. She looked away before the emotion could become too obvious. "Pale yellow " she said softly. Alex smiled. "Pale yellow,” he repeated. He added it to the notes. The bookshelf discussion came next. That conversation lasted twenty minutes. Possibly twenty-five. The bookshelf itself was beautiful. It was oak. It was custom-made. It stretched from floor to ceiling. Lillian loved it immediately. The problem was determining where the lowest shelf should sit. According to one of her parenting books accessibility mattered. Children were more likely to read if books were easy to reach.

HIDDEN EDGES

HIDDEN EDGES

She leads the way up a staircase with glossy silver railings, smooth as a baby's butt and cold against my palm. "Here," she says, and my heart stops immediately I see this gigantic room with long shelves filled with lots and lots of books. The entire four walls are covered with shelves and in the middle are standing shelves, as tall as an oak tree, all filled with books. So many books. "Crystal?" Zara calls, and I see they've already walked into the room, so I hurry up to meet them as we stop in front of a shelf.

The Devil's Broken Doll

The Devil's Broken Doll

The quiet murmur of two librarians debating something in hushed voices vanished almost immediately beneath the immense space surrounding them. She looked up. And kept looking. Shelves rose towards the mountain ceiling in towering walls of timber that climbed three immense storeys before disappearing into shadow. Elegant galleries wrapped around the chamber in sweeping balconies connected by slender iron staircases that spiralled upwards like ribbons through the warm amber light. Timber ladders rested against the shelves at every level, waiting to be wheeled effortlessly from one towering collection to the next. Books. Thousands of them. No... Tens of thousands.

The Playboy Stepbrother's Rules

The Playboy Stepbrother's Rules

It did not smell like a study. “Bookshelf,” Alex said, needlessly. “I saw.” Troy’s mouth tilted. “You’re already putting Nathan’s box on the bottom shelf in your head.” “I’m putting the seminar spines at eye level.” Alex ran his fingers along the empty wood. “Bottom shelf is still the box. Some habits are structural.” They stood in the doorway of the bedroom and looked at a bed that wasn’t theirs yet. Light cut across the floor in a wide strip. Outside, a tree moved against the glass. Ordinary. Possible.

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

The Alpha Daddy's Contractual Bride

Besides, it was a good subject to learn about. I scanned the shelves, squinting at the titles on the higher rows. Most of the botany books seemed to be stored near the top, probably because they weren’t accessed very often. I spotted a few promising titles and made my way over to the ladder. “Let me grab some for you,” I said, gripping the rails. The ladder was old but sturdy, and it slid smoothly along its track as I positioned it beneath the shelf I wanted. I climbed slowly, scanning the books as I went up. I grabbed a few and tucked them under my arm, climbing with my free hand.

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

The Luna Queen's Rebirth

Outside, the afternoon was bright and cold, and I talked the whole way down the sidewalk. “I think I’ll go with buttercup,” I said. “The walls. Buttercup, not lemon. Lemon’s too loud for a nursery, but buttercup with white trim, and the bookshelf under the window where the light comes in. And I’m thinking I’ll order some cream lace drapes, something light and airy—” “Mm. Mhm.” I caught his sleeve. “Are you listening?” “Yes,” he said absentmindedly. I planted my hands on my hips. “What color did I say?”

I commented on the last page of the story before it ended. After I submitted the comment, it put me back to chapter 1. The story was the Luna’s rebirth. How do I get back to where it was being serialized?

MR BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET: CHASING HIS IRRESISTIBLE WIFE

MR BILLIONAIRE'S REGRET: CHASING HIS IRRESISTIBLE WIFE

His eyes, focused and sincere, carried no hint of flirtation, only a quiet, thoughtful intensity that made me follow his gaze. The butterflies were in various stages of life. Some were emerging from their cocoons, struggling to break free, while others had already spread their wings in vibrant colors. The introduction board on the side reads: When a butterfly emerges from its cocoon, it's also strengthening its wings to get ready for flight. As it breaks free, fluid from its body flows into its wings, helping them grow stronger.
