His face was buried in the crook of my neck. My eyes went around him. I missed everything about him, even our arguments too. 'Are you alright?' He asked through the bond. 'More than alright,' Someone cleared his throat. Troy growled looking at Ray. He lifted his hand in the air, "There's no such intention but we have a big problem you know... Bad Wolves and a witch to handle. Though, we have killed his army of the dead, " He mocked. "A witch?" I panicked. My eyes darted between them. My heart started beating loudly again.

Marcus and Rena behind him, hurting and moving anyway. Steady. That was enough for now. The night swallowed them. The road stretched ahead, long and uncertain. Every step pulled Troy further from the inn and closer to whatever waited at the vampire court. The cold in his hands had spread to his wrists, his forearms, his chest. The next morning, I see him. Troy. He’s walking in with the leaders. So, he’s now hunting his own kind for the humans. And he thought he was Alpha material. I can’t help the snarl that starts in my chest. One of the warriors puts his hand on my shoulder. My head whips around as I bare my teeth. “Alpha. If you attack him now, we won’t be able to help all these supes. We all hate him, but we need to keep our heads.”

It's the brown haired guy. “What are you doing?” he asks, “Are you trying to get yourself killed?” “Get your hands off me,” I try to pull my hand away from him with no luck. “My name is Troy. I’m trying to help you, just follow me.” He starts to walk down the hall. “Why should I trust you? I don’t even know you?” I take my foot and trip him, making him fall and letting go of my hand.
