A fiery red sunset graced the sky, making it look like God's most beautiful painting. So does Grace, my enchanting love. Grace worships the sun so much. To her, I was like the sun. My love shines into her world and gives her the strength to face any challenge. She is also the light of my life. When she smiles, it's like a full moon chasing away all the darkness. When Grace is in my arms right now, I feel like the luckiest man in the world. “Gabriel,” she whispers softly, her voice trembling in lucky strokes over the cacophony of crashing waves. “You make me feel alive.”

Her phone was in her hand, and her mother could hear the noise of her running. . Her mother was cursing herself that she couldn’t do a thing to help her daughter. Her husband and her son had gone to the city because the groom that Grace’s father had chosen for her was from the city and they went there to finalize her wedding. As for now, all her mother could do was to pray to God so that Zayden would leave her daughter without harming or killing her. Throughout Grace’s life, she did nothing but help others and God could not be that heartless to kill that soul just because she was kind to others. But in reality, God had planned something else for Grace.

It was nice listening to them laugh instead of complaining; ever since she got here, I didn’t feel so guilty. “Whatever, let's just eat,” I said, grabbing my fork, and Amanah stopped my hand. “Don’t you guys say grace?” She asked, and I cocked my head to the side, confused. “Grace?” “Yeah, it’s a prayer of giving thanks before you eat,” she explained, and my mom put her fork down. “To whom are we giving thanks?” “God,” she said simply, and I smiled, understanding her. "The Creator." “Oh, you mean Ylil?” I asked her, and she looked confused.

"I didn't take Gaven." "You exist," she says. "That was enough." Behind me, I can feel his presence like a wall. He is steady and patient. Waiting for the moment I need him, but he doesn’t interfere, because he knows this isn’t about him. "You were supposed to be grateful," Grace continues. "Grateful for whatever scraps you were given. Grateful you weren't discarded entirely." "I was." "And now?" She snarls. I breathe slowly. Now comes the truth I never allowed myself to say. "I'm done being grateful for survival."

How many times had I told myself the previous night, that she would affect me no more, but just look at me right now, looking at her, like though, she was some garnished meat. Her gaze never met mine for once, she held her red Sweden bag between her hands and it was innocently placed in front of her exposed thighs. Grace said nothing, or maybe she couldn't, and was already pondering on what the words meant. Noah was born and raised to go to church, although lately, he hadn't really found his way there, but he believed in God, and he knew He was right there with him in every step he took. He was the kind of guy that would pray before he began any surgery, and the one that would say grace before any meal. He knew what path he walked on, and the strength that came from him.

He rested his chin on his palm, "A wishing god," My brow slightly arched, "A wishing god? Is there such a wishing god?" I wondered, "Is it all gods are likely to grant wishes? What's the difference between you and the others?" "I am more to grant wishes than the others, like what I did to you, in a process,"

As her hand extended, he caught it firmly. The two of them rose together, voices clear and steady as they declared, "Thank you for your gracious favor, Your Majesty!"
