Aubrey looked at me wanting to ask who this person was, but I didn't really know who she was, so I could only reply with a smile of goodwill. “I know you came here to inquire about Ancanta's death, so I have been here waiting for your arrival. Although I knew that Aubrey and I were very confused, the nun Jane continued to walk, I felt a little strange but also hurried to follow in her footsteps. After calming down, Jane realized that she couldn't make a big fuss with a big star like Daphne around, so she resorted to yelling. Daphne thought Caroline looked familiar, so she asked casually, "Who is this, Mrs. Collins?" "You still haven't noticed, Daph?" Jane said disdainfully, "This is Caroline, the woman who had the chance to marry Eddy and become a rich lady but chose to act high and mighty and marry an ordinary person."

His kiss was every time feel like conveying something to me, like anger, pain betrayed heartbreaking but I couldn't able to understand it when a kind of different emotions he pour in that kiss. “You knew about this?” He raises his cheeky eyebrows, and I shake my head. What the hell? She takes out her large folder and opens it. “Gloria has left you her collection of Jane Austen books.” My mouth falls open and tears instantly fill my eyes. “Oh my God,” I whisper. “Are you serious?” I scramble through my bag for a tissue. “That’s amazing.” I turn to Cam and he’s grinning back at me. “Oh, that’s so special to me. Thank you so much,” I whisper. “When can we pick them up?”

"Yeah," I replied as I rummaged through my bag for my notes. "How hard could it be right? Jane Austen is pretty easy." Right. Tell that to your sore back, you avid procrastinator! "Yeah, if you were from the 19th century," she grunted as she pulled her books from her locker. "No. You just have to understand the concept." I had only understood it after reading someone's essay on it online. And no, I did not plagiarize. That's bad.

Their smiles were infectious, and I found myself grinning along even though I hadn't the slightest idea what they were speaking of the majority of the trip. When we went through a village, it was like a Christmas card. The pointy roofs, cobbled steps, and canopies were perfect. It was beautiful the way the rolling hills often hid a massive country estate or sometimes a crumbling castle. For someone who loved romance novels, this was my favorite dream come true. Not many girls my age had read Jane Austen. Granted most have seen the movie, Pride and Prejudice. But when you read Austen, you get a real feel for what it was like. I truly felt transported back in time, and I was loving it.

The same old nonsense—the cocky Sebastian, smiling at her while quietly assuming she was too emotional to think straight. And right on cue, Jane walked out the sliding doors with a tray of drinks, dressed in soft beige and that same gentle smile she wore when pretending to be harmless. “I brought iced tea,” she said. “Thought you all might need something cool.” She placed the glasses down and glanced at Eleanor, a little too sweet. “My lady, are you alright? You look… tired.” “I’m fine,” Eleanor said flatly. Jane’s gaze flicked to the brothers. “Sorry, I should’ve introduced myself, my lords… I am Jane Thorne. I am a servant in this mansion, and my father works here as a butler.”
