I broke the surface for just a second, gasping desperately, my arms slapping at the water. "Help!" I choked out. "Help me!" But I went under again, water flooding my mouth and nose. I couldn't breathe, couldn't think, couldn't do anything except panic as the water dragged me down. Is this how I die? My vision was starting to blur, darkness creeping in at the edges. I was drowning.

Time seemed to lose its meaning as he delved further into the bowels of the cave, each turn leading him deeper into the unknown. Suddenly, the ground beneath him gave way, and Aeron plummeted into darkness. His surroundings blurred as he fell, and a sense of weightlessness enveloped him until he crashed into icy water. Panic seized him as he struggled against the relentless pull of the ocean's depths, disoriented and desperate for air. His limbs flailed in the inky abyss, but the surface seemed to elude him. Aeron's thoughts raced, memories of Myra and their daughter flashing before his eyes. The realization that he might never see them again fueled his fight against the drowning darkness.

Instinctively, i grabbed my head in my hands when i felt a sharp pain in my head. Under the full moon, a woman dressed in red was breathing heavily even while drowning at the pit of the ocean. It seemed she was out of life and energy, she let the water current envelop her into its wide bottomless pit. I floated to him in my agitation and spoke out loud, not that he would hear me, "I wanted to come out. Don't you know that I tried to push against the cover even until my dying breath? I did everything I could to survive! But none of that worked, so I'm dead now." Of course, Hadden could not hear me. How could he? He shouted again, "You won't get my pity like this! I wouldn't have had to lock you in there if you hadn't tried to drown Julia. Get over here now!"

I gasped for air as I struggled to stay afloat. “Help me!” I cried out as my hands flapped helplessly in the water. My legs couldn’t touch the floor of the pool because of how deep it was and I tried pushing my body up to stay afloat but nothing was working. I began to panic and it made everything worse. I could see Yasmine and Yolanda laughing as they watched me drown. “That would teach you bitch! Let’s go, Yasmine,” I watched in horror as they walked out on me. Nobody is coming to save me. I was starting to get tired from the struggling and I shut my eyes. Perhaps, it’s time for me to let go. There’s no use in delaying the inevitable.

The fisherman ran down the hill, trying to get closer so he could dive in. But before he reached the shore… Horris sank. The last thing we saw was bubbles rising from the spot where he had been. Then nothing. Horris had drowned before our eyes. Horris died without his body ever being found. He was simply… gone. The water took him and never returned him to us.
