The Captain that was never mine

The Captain that was never mine

“I’m not exactly a sports person.” “You will be after tonight. The energy is addictive. Hawthorne versus Westfield is always brutal—especially because of the captains. Brad Walker versus Sebastian Hale. Pure rivalry.” I raised an eyebrow. “Sebastian Hale?” “Captain of Westfield. Tall, insanely talented, and actually a decent guy from what I’ve heard not the cocky asshole type like Brad and his crew. The stands go wild whenever he’s on the ice. Total heartthrob material.” She winked. “You’ll see why.”

Aulia nodded her head once Hisoka glanced at her, requesting her permission as well. “Great.” Hisoka intertwined his fingers together, placed his elbows on the table, and propped his chin on the intertwined fingers. “This man, next to me, is one of the Mandrill Monkeys or so-called Mandrill. His code name is Captain, coincidentally the captain of the group.” Captain shot up and slightly tilted his body forward. “The name is Captain, one of the Mandrills and also the leader. I humbly greet all of you.”

"Next up are the Captains. There are quite a few, so ages and achievements will have to be something you find out yourselves, ladies. Let's begin. Capt. Cull- Shikazs, Capt. Moor- Gaimo, Capt. Tilk- Bronkark, Capt. Bolis- Vaal, Capt. Nole- Bronkark, Capt. Terrax- Glortinon, Capt. Het- Makskin... As his voice drones on and the captains file in, my eyes run over the different species of males critically. The females we met this morning were definitely interesting to look at, but I didnt study each species as I spoke to them. They all were built about the same but had different coloring and eye shape.

I’ve now read this book twice. It was fantastic the first time and I caught things I missed the second time. Great storyline, no rushing through the story and I felt like it ended with no loose ends. Can’t wait to read about more of the characters in the next book!

The captain's girl

The captain's girl

I felt sorry for him, being a captain of a great football team entails a lot of responsibilities, commitment and expectations from what I've seen. "I really admire your strength and like you said 'you won't trade it for anything' So just keep doing your thing and enjoying it, cause there comes a time when you can't do it anymore, and I'm sure you won't regret it, okay?" I tried to be comforting and encouraging which I'm not good at. Ugh. I hope I made sense though. "Yea. Listening to you speak is a good feeling too" he said which made me smile and I felt a little hopeful

Catfishing the Captain

Catfishing the Captain

Aaron stalked forward and stared down into Knox's face when he came to a halt right on his toes. "Did it stimulate your taste buds? Mess with your mind?" Aaron's hands lifted as if it was aiming to touch Knox's face but he slapped it away and stepped out of the man's offensive pressure. He snarled then opted to ignore him then shifted on his heels towards the phone. He reached for it but he halted right as his fingers touched the screen. The shock was so overwhelming from the picture that none of them registered that this was their captain, giving them a show of his privates, a full-on nude. It was obscene.

Inciting another aggravated bellow from below the hull, the tentacle then retired into the water’s depths once more. A moments calm passing, it was interrupted as the Captain scoffed, “Heh, those guys must have been spinning fishing tales! It’s hardly worth even mentioning.” Relaxing at the wheel again, Allen noticed his partner still remained on edge. Her sharp eyes observing where the creature’s tentacle had slipped under the water’s surface, Chiri passed no remark on the Captain’s foolhardy optimism.

Andrea asked, adjusting her high-tech monocle. Captain Redd, a burly fisherman-turned-naval officer, grinned. “We’ve got a big one, ma’am. You’ll want to see this.” With a loud splash, the crane pulled up a Storm Serpent—a sea monster feared by sailors for centuries. It thrashed wildly, but the harpoons held firm. Engineers and biologists swarmed the deck, preparing to extract valuable materials. Andrea smirked. “Poor thing. It was born in the wrong era.”
