Amy had the Camaro kissing the armored truck’s left rear taillight. If the armored truck stopped suddenly, the Camaro’s chassis would be part of the truck’s rear bumper. Amy thought about slowing down to avoid a rear-end collision, but the voice in her head told her not to even think about slowing down. The voice was telling Amy that this was her second chance. She was roaring down a coastal highway again, trying to rescue her baby. It was time for redemption.

I got into the car without looking back again.
