For a split second, I couldn’t understand what was wrong with them, but Reese and Diana rushed into the driver’s seat and started the cars. Devon got in the car with Reese, while Kaz was in our car on the backseat with me. Both the cars zoomed on the road. People chased after the finishing line, but the finishing line was chasing after us. The road the finishing line traversed behind us crumbled and disappeared.

Every second felt like fire under his skin. Finally, Leo spoke. “Got something.” Miguel jumped to his feet and moved to the table. “Talk.” Leo pointed at the screen. “Carlos and Tania ditched their cars.
