I felt as if my heart could stop right then, and was unable to decide which was more scary—ending up in Bob’s hands or Gary’s. Still, that was when I heard Bob laugh coldly, “Is that so? But why do I find her bearing so much resemblance to my late friend, Professor Baron? I guess you’re really suspicious, Mr. Reporter—take him away! Throw him into the concentration camp!”
Gary’s face fell right then, and he cried out in panic even as several soldiers formed a tight circle around him. “Wait, Professor! There has to be a misunderstanding!”
