When he was done talking, the room fell so silent that I could hear my own faint breathing. "Are you in a bad mood?" he asked. Jason had always been intensely perceptive. He never failed to notice the negative emotions I wasn't even aware of myself. "Of course not! I'm so happy I'm practically floating," I said, choosing to play dumb. Jason chuckled softly. I couldn't tell whether he believed me or not. I changed the subject and chatted with him casually for a moment. Then, just as I was prepared to hang up, he suddenly spoke again.

The first person I see the minute I step inside the club is Keiran. He's a bartender, works the bar frequently and he's my very good friend. Keiran is hot. Short blonde hair, one sleeve tattoo on his left arm. He's pretty tall, not that tall and he's attractive. He's literally the ladies' man. Most female customers who drink by the bar every other night always flirt with Keiran and drop him a lot of tips. He's beautiful to the eye and you just can't ignore him even if you try.

In the end, the man's blood was on the floor and he was still alive. “A job well done.” Master stated, starring down at the eyes of the man who killed seven maidens’ dreams and turned them into a shell of who they once were. Master then decided that she would not feel remorse for her actions, not when they all made the world better in some ways. Just like she had gotten rid of the bastard who made her start her journey, she had gotten rid of this one too. Master watched the life bled out of the man's eyes before looking at Rima who was rubbing her eyes, she was still sleepy. This part of the resistance had never interested her much.

They received an unexpected surprise when Jason showed up to the press exactly thirty days later. A slightly disheveled but attractive young man then proceeded to introduce his month-long effort. He domineeringly named it after the first Ancient Roman emperor, for it was indeed capable of outperforming most mechs of the current generation. Just its majestic posture and stately head design showed that Jason spent quite a lot of time matching the mech's aesthetics to its superb offensive power.

I felt like I was floating on a cloud of gold and magic. The introduction with the Businessmen in the room went smoothly. I got lots of deals from a few people. This stirred more happiness in me. It turned out that the masquerade ball was not a bad idea after all. We just finished speaking to Rowan, the richest man who deals with online businesses, when another man approached us, and Alexander's face immediately darkened as his grip on my waist tightened. “Long time no see Alexander. I see you got yourself yet another toy to play with. You never seem to change”, the man said with a chuckle.

“So now, what are you?” I open my mouth to tell her, and he sticks his damn thumb in it! I automatically suck on it. I don’t even know why, honestly. But what the hell he go and do that for? He smirks, chuckling, looking at my family. “My name is Onyx and I’m Manuel’s Merman.” Then turns and stares hungrily at me. My younger sister gasps excitedly. “A Merman?! Whoa, cool! So you can like... hold your breath for a long time under water?”

Hariel sighed deeply and swim forward to where he heard the voice. "I am Hariel, and I am here to ask some help from the Merman Sorcerer, Ludi." They heard a laugh. And from the dark, someone appeared. They saw a Merman full of black scales on his cheeks that went down to his body, to his arms. His once emerald-colored scales have a tint of black. "It's been a while since someone asked help from me," the merman said with a creepy smile on his face. His eyes are white as if he was blind but they know that he wasn't. "What help do you want from me?"

I jumped out of my skin when something brushed my shoulder and swam away looking back over my shoulder. ‘Sorry I didn’t mean to scare you,’ his deep masculine voice came through the water, and I stopped in my tracks to look at him. He was a merman, his tanned skin covered his giant rippling muscles, that went up his arms and abs. his tail was a dark navy, long and thick. His face was something else. Dark warm brown eyes, full lips with light stubble surrounding it, and dark brown hair. He looked like a god. I was suddenly very aware that I had removed my dress, my breasts free in the water, I pulled my hair to make sure it was covering me.

Whatever the purpose is for bringing me down here I am sure they will tell me soon. I follow the three mermaids along a large corridor. It's hard to keep up when I have never used a tail before. My tail gets tired as they hold my hands. At the end of the large corridor is another large gate. The gate is gold and silver and has scales all it's own. Through the gate is what appears to be a throne room. A large wise looking old merman sits on top of the throne. His skin is a deep green and his beard is like squid tentacles and kelp poking in and out of each other. I can see the octopus on his face. He carries a large black trident. He swims down to greet us.
