I imagined that Maria had loads of love. “He's upstairs,” she said as we drew apart. “I'll take you there.” I nodded politely, and did the same to all the maids who smiled and curtsey happily when they saw me. I met Carlos in his study. He was just rounding up a meeting with a man who reminded me of Hulk. He was heavily built and had conspicuous tattoos in almost every bare part of his body. “That's Rocco,” Carlos said, leaning back in his seat. As big as Rocco was, I saw traces of fear in his eyes as our eyes met. It was as though he was seeing a ghost.

"Amelia!" Within seconds I'm swept off my feet and lifted up from the ground. Carlos spins me around, laughing as we dance on the floor. He must have hit his head—we aren't that good friends. Carlos raises my arms above my head and holds my wrists with one hand while the other explores my body. "No," Carlos says in a husky voice. He captures my lips, plunging his tongue deep into my mouth. His kiss is long, intense, and passionate, ending with a gentle bite on my lips. "I'm going to sleep in my room, with my wife. My brother and the girl look oddly surprised which was considerate from that girl's side as she was a human but how could my brother didn't recognise my scent. "Oh my goodness!"
