Alaric's POV: "Let her go." I demanded. His eyebrow raised before gazing down at my mate. It angered my lycan that he had set his eyes on her. I watch as he sets Camilla up straight. My brow twitching and furrowing when I notice his arm graze my mate's chest. I growled inwardly, knowing he just did that on purpose. My eyes instantly fell on Camilla, taking in her nice little white summer dress. She looked beautiful. I could feel my eyes darkening as my lycan pushed forward. She could easily overpower me and catch me even if I did somehow manage to escape her grasp at first. Death draws me towards it like we have been attached with an unbreakable string. Maybe it's just a superpower in which I get the last chance to save the person in front of me or maybe it’s a curse. Particularly a Crimson curse, as I like to call it. Through the years the number of deaths I have seen is greater than my age. You would think that death doesn't affect me anymore. You are right to think that because that is what I had thought until 5 days ago.
