Carpe Diem Memento Mori の小説・ストーリー

Stevie suddenly asked. "Too forward?" Jared shot a glare at him. "I've taught you time and again: carpe diem! Openings are transient. They die when you spend one second too much at dawdling. "We Yaegers have prepared enough. We have gathered our own power, and with the Liberated's help, there is no time like now. When will Lady Luck bestow us another chance if we sit this one out, huh? We are men! We come, we see, we conquer. No room for hesitation. Carpe diem!"

I smiled at Jean, pouring my adoration of the piece into every part of my body. Memento Mori which meant, in Latin, remember that you will die. That was the embodiment of Eiecrunt. Live fast and hard. Enjoy every waking moment you had because one day it could all cease to be. It showed me that I was lucky to get out of the hell I was in. Escape my fate time and time again. All because I wanted to live. Wanted to feel more. One day I would die and hopefully, my mates would be by my side. "I love it!" Adelia exclaimed beside me, her breath reeking of Alcohol. I giggled and Teagan leaned over to take hers.

“I’ve never really looked at you this way. But now, it’s all starting to make sense. The date on your forearm…” I let my gaze drift lower, tracing the sharp lines of his torso. There were other tattoos scattered across his skin—fragments of a story only he knew. A Latin phrase curved along his collarbone, the ink bold and deliberate, “Memento Mori”—remember you must die. “Hayden?” He whimpered in his sleep. And groaned. I lifted my gaze to his face. Hayden whimpered softly, tossing in his sleep. Tears ran down his temples. Pain was written all over his face, frozen somewhere beneath a nightmare and a cursed reality he couldn’t escape from.

He felt a bolt of power strike through him, exploding as it branched into his veins and spread like lava throughout his body, devouring everything in its path. Tonight marked the start of a new day, the start of their new lives, and the adoption of a motto from the 'Dead Poets Society' book. 'Carpe Diem, Seize The Day!' and they will from this point forward. They'll live each day as if it's their last.

Cole mind-linked me that it was Latin. “Velum temporis, nunc discede, Ostende umbras quae latuerunt. Umbrae praeteritae, secreta tua revela, Veritatis lux in silentio splendeat. Hoc carmine, scaena redeat, Concede mihi visum hesterni diei.”

**** ~ Flashback ~ Before heading to the library, Evelina and Rissa are on their way to the opposite end of the class to the library. Evelina walks and she stops from her path, she just remembers that there was something she forgot. Seeing Evelina's reaction stop, Rissa asks her. "Eve, what's wrong? Is there anything you left in the classroom?" "No, I forgot something. That actually, I wanted to return the book in the library," she replied.

It was the kind of sound that makes your body move before your brain catches up. He was on the ground by the dumpster. Black suit. White shirt. Both ruined. The shirt was open, soaked through. Too dark to be water. Too much to be anything but blood. He was still alive. His chest moved. Barely. Then I saw the tattoo. _Memento mori_ across his ribs in black script. Remember you die. Under it, fresh blood. The wound was right under the letters. Like someone had punctuation to make.

"I think not." "Memento mori." Remember your mortality. He declared and he saw the brat's eyes widen; there was no question that they were on equal grounds in terms of prowess though their abilities and strengths differed however the one crux the brat probably never bothered to think upon was that he was immortal and therefore much, much harder to kill as compared to a mortal. "Maranasati." Remember death.

I screamed while crying and looking at him dead in my arms. I cried so loud and hard like a beast roaring in the middle of the thunder because of the loved one who passed away, but the most painful thing is I am the reason why he passed away. I killed him and I am so stupid in what I have done. I cried so hard with pain and regret while remembering the love that we built, and it is like a movie playing backward that is crushing me into pieces. That is adding up to my sorrow. The trust that he gave, the life that he shared with me makes me feel regret. The happy moments with him, the ice cream at the park, the hello kitty that he bought for me, the making love inside my room, his hugs and kis
