There was nothing new about what she saw. She was acting that way so I could see how shy and innocent he was—she wasn’t. Everyone had seen her leaked nudes and videos online. She was a wild spirit. Andrew bowed his head quickly. “Sir—he’s getting ready.” But the instructors exchanged glances. What was wrong with the boss today? Why did he keep looking at the training ground deadpan? He never waited for anyone. Not even the instructors. To see him standing there like that, still, sharp, and cold, was unnerving. He heard footsteps behind him. He didn’t turn around. He knew the rhythm of those footsteps. Unhurried. Even. “Good day for the prosecution,” Ambrose said. Jericho stopped walking. He turned around. Ambrose stood a few feet back, jacket still on, not a hair out of place despite the damp air curling everything around them.
