Cassie's POV My name is Cassie. I am an Omega from Night Creeper Pack. My father is the beta of the pack. My eldest brother Johnny will become beta in three months. Today is my 17th birthday. Usually, when a werewolf turns 17 they find their mate. Well, today if I find my mate he will reject me. For an Omega, life is not always pleasant. There are two types of Omegas. The ones like me who are kept only for breeding with the strongest males and the ones who are like slaves.

A very soft, incredibly hesitant voice suddenly speaks from the shadows behind her. Luna slowly turns around. Standing near the glass doors is the young woman Liam brought as his date tonight. She looks incredibly young, likely no more than twenty years old, dressed in a delicate white knit sweater and a soft apricot-colored skirt. Looking at her, Luna feels a sudden, unsettling sense of familiarity, as if she is looking into a slightly distorted, slightly blurred mirror. "My name is Cassie," the girl whispers. She nervously twists the hem of her knit sweater between her fingers, her pale cheeks burning with an embarrassed, rosy flush. "I...I have seen pictures of you before."

Cassie was thrilled with the punishment they had received; it was saving her from having to prepare dinner and giving her enough time to finish the romcom series she had started a few days ago. After a few episodes, Cassie decides to go and see what the boys had been up to, plus, she was starving. She changes into a nightrobe and a pair of leggings, before heading downstairs. “I’m hungry” she says loudly, leaning on the kitchen door “So are we” Aaron replies, cheerlessly. He looked like he was on the verge of a breakdown “Poor baby” Cassie teases, trying to hold herself from bursting out laughing.

Sven told me about how his mother had confided in him about her first mate before he read her diaries and we both know that a new pack is exactly what Cassie needs to complete the healing process. I try to get some hint of her feelings regarding Thomas during our chat, but she is suspiciously quiet about her feelings and I don’t push too hard lest she rebel, but I think they will make an amazing couple, though it seems they are not second chance mates as I had hoped, I would say that they would know by now if they were, but I am also having a hard time sensing Cassie’s wolf, I think the rejection has had more of an impact than we originally thought, if her wolf is indeed missing then I hope
