Adir lay back on the bed. Castus exhale and inhale,the air in his lungs drying out the earlier attack on it, he'd thought for a moment that he knew she's the same person,castus had been surprised that Adir hadn't figure out what's really going on and today...after his little conversation with him he's assured there's someone interfering in this.

The academy slowly waking around us. Students gathering and bondeds stretching. The smell of breakfast drifting through the air. Gods, the place almost feels normal. Then a massive shadow passes overhead. I look up. A gryphon. Its rider laughing as they dive through the clouds. Further away, an Ironclad dragon releases a thunderous roar that shakes the ground beneath my feet. Students barely react.

Mrs Sprocket somehow worked out that something will happen to Belle Rose when they are at the castle, and she got a strange feeling that Belle Rose's dream last night will come true. Belle Rose was allowed to take the book about the castle to visit back to Mrs Sprocket's house and carry on research in her own time. The school finished, and Belle Rose left with Mrs Sprocket as they head towards Mrs Sprocket's home. Mrs Sprocket allowed Belle Rose to use the dining table to carry on with her research about the castle that they are going to for the school trip, and she got some drinks for her and Belle Rose. The Heads-Up Display flickered, adjusting to the light. Green lines of data scrolled across the glass—altitude, speed, fuel, weapons. And then I saw it. Regalia. The city was a black scar on the white landscape. Smoke billowed from the East Wing of the castle, a dark bruise against the snow. The harbor was choked with ice and ships.

Killian stood up, pulling me with him. As the jet descended over the Scottish Highlands, the apocalyptic darkness that had choked the sky for the last forty-eight hours began to fracture. The death of Aurelius had broken the spell. Brilliant, golden rays of morning sunlight pierced through the dissipating volcanic ash, illuminating the ancestral Blackwood Estate. The manicured lawns were scorched, and the ancient stone walls of the east wing were heavily battered, but the castle stood proud. The moment the jet’s ramp lowered and Killian and I stepped out into the crisp, morning air, a deafening roar erupted.

The Castle of the Worthy The floating castle stood before them. Massive. Ancient. Silent. Its walls stretched into the clouds. Its towers pierced the sky. Blue fire burned atop every spire. The entire structure felt alive. Watching. Judging. Waiting. God. No. Fair. Absolutely not. Reasonable honestly. Then Ava looked upward. Then: "I miss normal buildings." Pause. It is strangely familiar, that castle. A prison of glass and stone crafted in power to crush the weak and underprivileged.

Mildred hummed in agreement, and I rolled my eyes. We walked the rest of the way in silence. The halls of the castle were surprisingly empty and not anything as I had imagined. Mildred pushed open the doors, and I gasped as I took in the beautiful scene before me. The night sky did not do this place justice. Stone buildings filled the space around us as we made out way through the large golden gates. Cobblestone paths lead through the city, and the town was busy with people. People shout at their storefronts, encouraging people to come in and buy their items. Children are running around after one another—the distant roars of dragons as they fly above us filled the air.
