Balric asked, his expression was impassive, but from the empathic traces Dannie was getting, he didn’t exactly feel comfortable.
“Handsome, we all know how the rebirth cycle works. Wolves leave a human body, go to Limbo, and then we don’t get to come back for at least sixty to eighty years,” Cass explained then gave him a sly, flirty smile. “You’re nowhere near in your sixties and Balric left Mom just before we were reborn.”
“This is really Balric,” their mom said. “There are special circumstances to his early resurgence.”
“Which are?” Cass asked. She gave Balric a look. Dannie thought she was trying to imitate their dad’s alpha stare, but it didn’t work.
