“Please- don’t… please, give it back.” But Coral just smiled and rolled her eyes before she walked away from me. With one flick of her wrist, she created fire on the floor and threw the book into it. The flames erupted and swallowed the book- the last hope that we had- burning it away. I watched in helplessly and in horror as the last pages of the book was burned and turned into ashes. The fire devoured every secret, help or solution we had to deafening Coral and getting Valerie back, now we really had no way to destroying the witches.

Her body trembled, but her eyes met mine with the same fierce spark I’d fallen for. “I told you not to follow me,” she whispered. “And I told you I wouldn’t listen,” I said.

Or so I hoped. The fire seemed to grow hotter, the flames dancing higher and higher. I could feel the heat radiating towards me, even though the fire wasn't actually touching me. Sweat dripped from my brow, and my skin felt like it was burning. And then, in an instant, everything changed. There was a fire outbreak In my area this week about five of my neighbors were burnt to death. It has been very traumatic. I am finding it hard to write. And since the fire was caused by the electricity, we don’t have light until further notice. I will re-edit the book when everything is better.

I was late morning when Tristan entered the room pulling my head of the book, I looked at him in slight amazement. “We have the conference call in twenty minutes.” He greeted stepping into the room as I looked up. “What?” He asked and I held up the book. “Tristan, this book.” I stated not really knowing how to explain it. “It’s a novel, just a story that I found in the library, but it’s based on a family of werewolves, the two daughters, twins, were born with a special gift, they could produce fire and ice.” I uttered and watched as his brows rose. “They later became joint alphas of the their pack. Do you think this could be the story of the alpha twins that we were looking for?”

A few minutes later we finally got out and the heat of the sun, sand, and cactuses that are higher than us and I can see their big and sharp thorns meet my eyes. I can breathe a sigh of relief because I can no longer smell the small amount of fuel. If we stay there longer, I won't be surprised if I end up coughing even if I don't have one. But I still thought I would suffocate, and I didn't think it was possible to catch fire because there was a slight smell of gasoline in there. Even if it's just gas and not the back, it's still flammable. "What's that road called?" I can't stop asking. In this world, even a path has a name.

My mind was back in that burning building, the smoke so thick I couldn’t see, couldn’t breathe. I could still hear Chloe’s voice, calling out to me, begging me to save her. But I hadn’t been fast enough. I hadn’t been strong enough. "I tried to get to her," I whispered, my voice breaking. "I really tried. But the fire—it was too much. I couldn’t... I couldn’t reach her."

You have got to be kidding me. That's when my patience comes to an end, my hair Flames and my eyes turn white and ashen. "Get off that bed before I light it on fire with you on it," I snarl, her eyes have grown wide, I guess me lighting on fire wasn't what she was expecting. "Now you are going to do as we say or so help me I'm going to burn that blond hair of yours to a crisp."
