Marco asked smoothly, taking her trembling hand once more and squeezing it until her bones ached. Celestia stared ahead, her ruin finally complete. "Yes," she choked out. "Let's finish it."

My soul leaves my body and I feel like a ghost when our eyes lock. A smug look appears on her face as she takes the gun aiming it at her leg, she screams out and I start running towards the stairs going to her aid but a firm hand circles my waist. “Shhh, you can't do anything to help her,” Celeste says, putting her hand over my mouth. I try to wiggle from her hold but she carries me back to the room. “I'm sorry,” she whispers, locking the door behind her. **End of flashback**

another priest added. The High Priest stared in horror. "They're going to burn the Temple of the Moon?" A crash was heard. The smell of smoke drifted through the window. "They've started," I whispered. Orange flames licked up the eastern wall. Black smoke billowed into the sky. "Everyone to the crypt!" the High Priest shouted. "Now!" We ran through corridors filling with smoke. Heat pressed against the walls, making the air shimmer. Down spiral stairs, deeper into the temple's heart. The High Priest pulled open an iron door carved with moon symbols. Cold air rushed out, smelling of earth and ancient stone.

LYSARA " So you are telling me that you've had your wolf since you were ten?” Coral asks in a whisper staring around like she's the one telling me a secret. “But that is not possible." I nod. “I know it isn't, but that is exactly what happened to me. I was attacked by a bunch of rogue wolves who were bent on using me as their next meal. Everything happened so fast. One moment I was running away from them and the next my wolf had taken over and killed the rogues.”

Arrow yelled, the scent getting stronger and stronger, our feet quickening their pace- I pushed past the two as I saw the art room alive with flames, my mate passed out on her back and every thought I had before was now gone; pulling Celeste away from the flames, pushing down all of my feelings like my father once taught me, I ordered my men loud and clear. “Celeste?” Ostana whispered as she leaned over the other bedside, patting my mates sweaty forehead with a cold, damp cloth; the instant it touched her skin, Celeste jumped closer to my touch as if she hadn’t even realized her best friend was trying to aid her.

Everyone was getting further away from me so I picked up my pace to catch up. Celeste had entered a grand bedroom after walking down a set of spiral stairs. Little Helia bounced on the bed way bigger than any king bed I’d seen. I wondered what we were doing in here for a moment but chose not to ask. Celeste ran her fingers along the mahogany wall. There didn’t seem to be anything on it but she paused with her fingertips on something. She pushed on it and the wall caved in. the walls expanded and opened. Celeste walked into it and when she came back she had a sleeping black haired baby girl in her arms.

She smiled faintly. “I know.” And stepped into the circle. --- The moment her foot touched the center, the symbols ignited with pale light.
