Dust and smoke billowed into the room, carrying the sharp, metallic scent of high-grade explosives. Through the haze walked three figures. They weren't the standard mercenaries. These were taller, bulkier, their armor pulsing with a faint purple runic script. Morana’s elite. The Hollow Men. "Secure the package," the lead soldier said, his voice mechanical. He raised a weapon—a glowing staff that crackled with electricity. Kai burst through the hole in the wall a second later. He was bleeding from a gash on his arm and his chest plate was cracked, but he was still standing. He roared and tackled the lead soldier, driving him into the concrete floor.

However, Delubyo, the muscular lieutenant monster of Sitan, engaged the five soldiers. He punched through the chest of the first one, his fist appearing to the human's back. He ripped the head of the corpse with the other hand before throwing the headless body to the second soldier; the rider flipped all over. He extended sharp claws from his left and right fist and spread his wings as if preparing to fly. Delubyo sped across the street in a low flight, snatching a pair of heads from necks. He let out a laugh as the last biker realized that he was trapped. Sitan cut the soldier in half with a vertical strike from his sword.

My muscles screamed with each movement, yet I clenched my teeth and sat upright, refusing to give my captors the satisfaction of seeing me crumble. I am Ryu, Alpha of the Deadly Fang Pack. I had led wolves into victory against the wildest odds.
