When two heavyweights went to war, everybody took a hit. Their friends set up a dinner to force a truce. Johan and Shawn showed up as a favor, but both looked ready to tear into each other. Johan was a wreck. Shawn had lost so much weight that his eyes looked huge in his gaunt face. "Don't think I'll ever forgive you." "Give me Blackie, and I'll help you finish this," Johan said.

Alex was the first to say, "the girl is mine. She is my mate and I've already claimed her." "Wrong" Evans replied, "she is my mate and neither of you stands a chance against me." Matt yelled, "fuck off you two. No one is going to keep me away from my mate." I couldn't understand what was going on. Were they about to fight over me, the supposed monster who had just gotten dumped? What did they all mean by 'I was their mate'? And why the fuck will the three most wealthy and sought-after bachelors want to be with a nobody like me?

She let out. “Who knew there was something called the valedictorian?” Ashley had pulled closer to me, eyes shifting off the screen onto my figure. “What about our husbands?” Another voice followed. “What gets them going?” The speaker questioned. “This” And then came another slideshow, with the image of two figures popping up. “Men love the doggy” “If that doesn’t work on them, I believe the cowgirl would” “And while you take your territory on his body, I need you ladies to ride like your life depended on it”

Melanie's eyes flashed with anger, and suddenly she clutched her stomach while exclaiming, "My stomach... Is the baby coming?!" Henry's face twisted in sudden panic, and he swept Melanie into his arms, bolting for the door. As he rushed by, Melanie's hand shot out, gripping my arm with a fierce tug. I stumbled, crashing to the ground as Wren's gasp echoed in my ears. Pain washed over me, turning my face ghostly pale. Wren, shaking, lifted me up, her voice breaking as she called for a doctor. Through the blur, I caught Henry hesitating for a split second, but then, he was gone, not once looking back.

Unfortunately, our mother saw through our plan and with one spell she closed and strengthened all the doors and windows in the house, cutting off any escape route. Fortunately, I finally managed to break through this protection and we got outside, into the garden, and then into the forest, but my mother caught up with us and trapped all three under an energy dome that seemed to be quite weak, so there was a chance to pass it, but only Oliver would probably survive going through. ~~~~~~~~~

The First Heir lunged violently. Silver power exploded from her body. “STOP TALKING!” The Hunger blocked the attack effortlessly. Darkness swallowed the silver light whole. My breath caught. Impossible. Flash The First Heir kneeling alone in darkness. Starving. Crying. Broken. Then the Hunger whispering softly: “Let me carry the pain.” Silver light dimming. Silence. Present I froze. No. The Hunger looked at me carefully. “She understands.” The First Heir looked horrified. “Don’t listen to it!”

People around us started coming to their senses as they woke up inside the podium. “Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to The Bloodlust Games, The final chapter” mum announced proudly. My eyes widened as the ground glowed beneath me, I tried moving out of the circle I was in only to realize that there was what looked like a force field wall which I couldn’t get past. I punched the wall twice, it glowed under the force. But that was all, I couldn’t move out of it as mum proudly explained the rules of the games.
