Chapter One Mystic Novels & Stories

I can't recall, I still find myself wondering what actually happened, well moving on I found my way into the sacred library, only to discover that no one was present, all the guards were outside. I walked past the tall wooden shelves which were filled with different books, yet I felt a force drawing me towards a particular self at the far right of the library which had an inscription on it, "Mystery." I scanned through the book and I decided to pick the one that had a black cover, the title of the book was Prophecies. The title alone was intriguing, I found myself a place to sit down to feast on the book. I randomly opened to the eighth chapter which was titled, "The Return of the Rebel Alph

The word burned in his mind like a brand. He stalked past the familiar sections—Werewolf Histories, Lunar Cycles, Pack Law—until he reached the dimly lit alcove marked "Supernatural Relations." His claws pricked his palms as he yanked out the first relevant tome: The Bewitched & The Beastly: Supernatural Attractions. The wooden chair protested as he threw himself into it, the lamplight casting jagged shadows across the pages. Dust motes swirled around him as he flipped to the chapter on witches.

She wanted to cause him the same amount of pain as he had caused her when he killed her leader so she began to walk over to Micah and Kurt while the other Ginx still hovered over Joe and Lydia. "Micah, she's coming for us. What do we do? What do we do, man?" Kurt asked in a panic as she got closer. "Hold my machete," Micah replied and handed the weapon to Kurt. He took out the codex and flipped through the pages until he stopped at one of them. Micah raised his hands and began to read the contents of the magical book. "Sicut fumus dies ventorum. Sicut sonitus post factum est. mitto te, et impero tibi, ne redeat nam in cantu tacet."

This pig… was simply strange. Alex had chased after it for a few miles when the Mystic Maiden in his mind palace said, “Stop chasing. The good thing I was talking about isn’t that pig.” “It isn’t that pig, huh? What is it then?” The Mystic Maiden said, “Feel this place properly. Has the spiritual energy here really been depleted to the point not even a blade of grass grows, just like you see?” Alex frowned. At this moment, he sat cross-legged on the ground and closed his eyes, feeling it with his mind.

I descend the stairs. There are hundreds of rooms below with beds that look like they might have been occupied or perhaps waiting to be occupied. I walk forward as if in a trance, pulled forward by sinister whispers that stop and continue, like people might be gossiping about me just ahead. I couldn’t turn back now if I wanted to, and a part of me does. As I realise my feet has grown life and continue forward regardless of my wishes, I do want to pull back and run away from here as fast as my legs will carry me. But it’s too late. “Not yet and that's what terrifies me.” She pushed herself to her feet, ignoring the way the room tilted. “When the world breaks,” she said, “it screams, it burns, it devours, this is quieter and it’s rewriting itself around a variable it didn’t expect.” Jake’s brow furrowed. “Kenny.” “Yes.” She pressed a hand to her chest as another echo rolled through her bones. “Mystic laws are shifting,” she said. “not snapping, bending or testing.” Jake exhaled slowly. “because of a child.”

A large bubble forms around me. ‘No!’ I shout and bang my fist against the wall. ‘Please, let me out! I have to go through the veil before it closes. I have to save Mysteria!’ I try using magic to burst the bubble, but nothing works. Ogrun waves his hand around the bubble. Chains hug the sphere and wraps an end around his hand, and pulls it back toward my home. I fall to my knees and cry into my hands. ‘Why are you doing this!’ I shout.

I smiled and brought out a new novel I got from the store the other day and opened the first chapter to read. There are like ten minutes before assembly starts so I can read at least a chapter or two before it starts. ‘Hmm… interesting’ i thought to myself. “Why didn't I know about this book already?” I muttered under my breath and turned to the next page. “Very interesting.” “I know it is,” I turned my head to see Chris put his bag on the desk beside me and sat down on the chair. “Even though I haven't read it, I know it is interesting”

Leila found a sign pointing to Schtaubersstrasser and followed it. Number 104 was an imposing old house, wooden beams sagging under its age. The Grossman Center next door, though, looked shiny and new, a stark contrast to the old estate. An information board outside announced that the center hosted a conference on mystical artifacts, one of the speakers caught Leila’s attention: a lecture by Prof. Eduard Yellen — E.Y. “Of course,” she muttered under her breath. “E.Y.” “Talking to yourself?” a sharp voice interrupted her thoughts. Leila spun around to see a woman in her forties, wearing a navy coat and mirrored sunglasses.

As I casually walked towards the hallway that led to my secret library, I was deeply engrossed in the thoughts of conveying the secret book to the room given to me when I saw maids and guards running helter skelter in and out of the chamber that used to be mine. My curiosity piqued, and I swiftly walked towards one of the guards. "Excuse me," I called his attention, which halted him in his tracks. "What is going on?" I asked the guard, who was already panting really hard. "It's the Alpha; he's having his seizure, and nobody can help," his words tumbled out in one breath. "The vampire queen can't help as well; he's..." He was still trying to catch his breath when I dashed into the room.
