Aaron shifted instinctively — ready to move — but Mystic remained still.

I smiled inwardly, knowing I had succeeded. With slow steps, I entered the chapel, my eyes taking in the sacred space before bowing to the statue of the moon goddess. The stale incense hung heavy in the air, and I pulled my hoodie off, relishing the freedom of being in the dark depths of the chapel. The elder watched me warily, his expression guarded.
