I saw it with my own eyes, the fireball from nothing which I could not admit. "You haven't seen someone like him before? That man does not live in this town but mystics are normal here. I have one too! You are cooler than him, though," Tori said. We already bought stocks for the house and we are on our way home. He is holding my hand as he walks beside me. I am glad that he has become more comfortable as we spend time together. "Mystic? Is that something like magic?"

The sky trembled not from storm, but from memory. She reached for her old journal, the one she had kept before the Second Bloom. Most of the pages were blank now erased by the Mirror Storm’s rewriting. But a few fragments remained, scrawled in fading ink: “Every silence hides a decision waiting to be made.” M.H. Mira Hale’s handwriting. A fragment from the founder herself. Ari traced the letters with her thumb, feeling a pang of longing not just for Mira’s wisdom, but for her certainty. The world had been easier when magic followed rules.

Nia stood and stared with bewildered eyes. “I don’t have time to explain the intricacies of telepathy and astral projection intertwinement, we’re in a damn war and you’re the key to bringing our chief back! It didn’t matter if this was my first time—I knew I deserved better. Frustration and anger churned within me. My thoughts spiraled, replaying the injustice, and suddenly, my head throbbed with a sharp pain. It was so intense, like my skull was splitting open. I gasped, clutching my head, but before I could fully react or even say anything, everything around me went dark. I could faintly hear my mother's panicked yell, her voice cutting through the growing darkness. It was soon followed by a wave of commotion—people scrambling, voices overlapping in worry. But as quickly as it came, the chaos began to fade, growing distant until it vanished completely.

And I was sure the guy felt it also with the way he stared at me. The more I thought about it as we left, the more scared I got for myself. I could feel the mysterious guy’s eyes boring a hole in the back of my head. Something told me that his eyes were still on me. But I really didn’t want to get myself entangled with any guy again, regardless of whether there was a connection between us or not. Thinking about it made me feel like the air within me was being sucked out. “Breathe, Ava. Breathe. Just forget about everything for the moment. We are out of that place.”

*Chapter 5: The Darkness* As the car approached, Emma's heart was racing. She covered Sarah's body with her own, bracing for impact. But instead of a collision, the car screeched to a halt just inches from their bodies. Emma's eyes were fixed on the car's door as it swung open. A figure emerged, tall and imposing. Emma's instincts screamed at her to run, but her body seemed frozen in place. The figure loomed over them, its features obscured by the shadows. Emma's heart was pounding in her chest as the figure reached out a hand.

I look up when I feel like there's another presence { it's about to go down } Jewel? I stand abruptly realizing what that mindlink meant, their fight is about to start, I grab my cloak from my coat hanger and was just about to head over to were she was but stopped, I can't leave Maxine like this, I pace back and forth a bit, Chad! I open a mindlink, at times like this I'm happy that I'm a Mystic which means I can reach anyone no matter how far away from me they are.
