Prologue Kanua Village, Zambia; January, 1991 There was a murderous glow in the eyes of the ten year old Luyando Chimeko as she stood watch over her drunk and passed out father snoring away on the mat inside the tent that a good Samaritan had lent to them which they had come to regard as their home for the past one week.

She wasn't looking for love; yet, found it in the least expected person. When Dr. Mahnoor first laid eyes on Captain. Dr. Haider, she couldn't fathom even in her wildest dreams the mess she was about to get herself into. Haider, who was a quirky and charming neurosurgeon, could hardly be described as anything except trouble personified.

He didn't even glance at the staring vampire as he began munching on the prepared human meal. 'Delicious. This is so delicious.' 'It's nothing like instant noodles or ordered rice. This is so sweet.' Uea ate with happiness. After an hour of stuffing meals into his belly, he lay back in bed and parted his legs, showing his beautifully sculptured body to the vampire. "I'm done eating," He beckoned the vampire over. "You can come and eat, too." This was how he wrote the story. The main character would eat, and then the vampire would also eat the main character.

I was pretty good at it and at the urging of my then girlfriend Julie, had submitted a few to a story site named Erotic escapes where under the pen name hotforteacher I'd gotten some pretty good reviews. Most of my stories were about older women with guys my age and Miss Ross had been the inspiration for many of them. Most of my female leads had the same long dark hair, big brown eyes and perfect full lips as my favorite English teacher. Yes Miss Ross had been the nasty little cougar in my mind and in print many times over the last few months. Shit, I'd even joined her writing discussion group because it met every other Sunday at her house.

There was one solitary, big book on a low table between them. "The title of the tale is The Binding of Autumn," he began, his voice an entrancing whisper just in harmony with the shriek of the fire. “It's the tale of a harvest god who offers a mortal woman a choice: one night of absolute freedom for one year of unimaginable riches for her people." He didn't move as his eyes met hers. "The consent is the matter at hand. It must be freely bestowed, not coerced, and whispered three times into the skin of his throat." “Do you have any idea what sort of story you're going to be reading me tonight?”

The plot's overused and it gets rather boring as the year's progress. Zale on the other hand, found them to be rather cute. He wanted to be like them. The Princes'. Imagine having to save a Princess from a fire-breathing dragon. Or from the clutches of an evil stepmother. The action that would take place in those storylines never fails to thrill him every single time. He'd also find himself fantasizing about slaying the dragon and saving you from a tower. No matter how many times he's imagined it, he can't help but giggle at himself at the thought of you sending him a kiss for his glorious act of bravery.

A father as terrifying as Baba, a mother as cowardly as Mama, and a sister as sweet as Cara. A tear slipped from the corner of her eyes as she wrote down the characters’ goals. She only wanted one thing, maybe two. Taking a deep breath, she tapped a key on her keyboard. This was her story, and she would write herself a happy ending. Hana wrote until her fingers went numb. But somehow, she couldn’t get herself to stop. It was so easy to picture every scene and change the settings from contemporary to fantasy. To watch Kyle, a dragon rider in her story, burn down the men who tried to harm her with his dragon. She named it K.
