SAVING ANGEL
GILDA’S POV
When Angel was done playing, I lifted her into my arms, and the three of us, Japheth, Angel, and I, went back inside the house. Japheth rolled quietly beside us as we returned to her room.
Japheth stopped at the doorway while Angel and I went in. He didn’t follow us inside; instead, he stayed there, watching us in silence. The room felt unusually quiet, and I could feel his eyes lingering on both of us as we settled in. After a moment, he finally broke the silence.
