Charlie managed to choke out, his eyes wide and all over the place as he looked at me, wondering why I wasn’t refuting his claim, and I shrugged. I wish I could slip out of here but the annoying pixie by the door is blocking me in. "Why can't we just be friends again?" Izzy asks sadly and Briar lets out a heavy sigh. "We were never friends, Izzy. That wasn't what real friendship is." She says firmly and my heart soars when she looks over at me, warmth in her eyes. Pride fills my body and I naturally gravitate towards her. I stand behind her, soaking up her closeness and letting her know I'm here if she needs me. Izzy watches our interaction before she turns on her heel and leaves us alone.

“No, no. I don’t mean it like that. Just as friends. Or better yet, friends-to-be. Nothing serious.” Relief washed over me, and I nodded. “Yeah, of course. I asked Olivia daringly. I was looking deep in to her eyes daring her to say it. It would be the end of her instantly. “No.” Olivia said avoiding my eyes as she said it. I gave a content scoff at her. It was better that she did not push me today. I didn’t even realise when Charlie made his way towards me, amusement laced in his voice. “let me get this straight” Charlie leaned back in his chair, arms crossed, an infuriating smile playing across his face. His sharp blue eyes dancing with amusement, like he was enjoying my misery a little bit too much. I scowled, pressing the ice pack harder against my nose. “Go on, man, laugh it up.”

I asked with my face beaming with smiles, “Hmm, he is” Charles got to our table and place the food, “Hey” He extended his hand towards Kelly for a shake “I'm Taylor's close friend” Charles said with a flashy smile “Hey nice to meet you, I'm Taylor's best friend” Kelly said proudly and Charles smiled, “Of course I know”
