I shook my head and chuckled. Walking to my next class, I messaged my friends that I'll see them at lunch and they immediately replied. Kayle and Jess said yes while Chandler said she couldn't make it because she gotta run an errand. I then wished her a good luck. Looking up, I saw Charlie. He was laughing with his friends and Andrei was there as well. I walked past them and I'm 100% sure he didn't see me. Gabby was right, he looks happy.

“Mom, these are my friends. This is Maya, Ethan and Liam.” “Hi Mrs. Hale.” The three said in unison. “I’ve heard a lot about you all, it’s very nice to meet you. I’m very happy that Charlie has made some good friends. She’s been having a rough time the last few years. And you can call me Jessica.” “Charlie is absolutely amazing. We love her very much.” Maya said with so much pride in her eyes and in her voice.

I can tell they are not as friendly as they one would think. Apparently these two stopped being friends out of the blue. Charlie believes Simon turned his back on him when he found new friends and got popular in school. I don’t know what happened but I do know I don’t like Charlie at all; he has an air about him that makes me uncomfortable. Charlie said with a grin on his face. He has been Blake's best friend since junior high school. Suddenly, two annoying, familiar voices slice through the crowd. Alyssa's friends. Chelsea's got a toddler balanced on her hip like it's a designer purse, and Ashley's wearing that same look she had when we first met—like every man here is a goddamn steak fresh off the grill. This girl has my heart jumping all over the place, I thought something had happened to her, possibly the worse thing as it was Ally who was screaming but as they look at me they exchange smiles and carry on giggling and it was nice to hear her laughing instead of the constant worrying. “What are you two up too?” “Nothing” they both answer in unison and start giggling again. “Then why was Ally out the window?” Again they tell me nothing, but right now I was happy to see Charlie with the biggest grin on her face, I never even saw a smile when we were visiting Alpha Max’s pack. “Then I will leave you to it”

“Are you okay?” Angelo stared at Charles before slowly nodding his head. “Y-Yeah. I… I just… Nevermind.” He managed to put a smile on his lips. “Let’s go?” Charles thought that Angelo’s smiles were contagious as he found himself smiling for no accurate reason. “Lead the way, then.” Both of them had fun that day, but little did they know that their friendship was about to be ruined by what happened next.

They approached where I stood and I smiled gently but the smile dissapeared immediately the woman raised her face and she turned out to be kheera ! Arm in arm with another man ! What the heck is going on?

Hate. I've had that face multiple times a day. The only thing that brought a smile to my face was Melody. Her sweet calming voice, her touch when we brushed up on each other, or her cute little giggle sound she made. She tried hiding her laugh, but I always heard her laugh. It made my day seeing her happy. Even with some of the things she's been through, she still found some way to smile. Charlie slowly moved to where the other chair was in the room and watched Nick and Jame's who still had their guns focused on me.

He thinks I’m the most unattractive person among the seniors. I wanted to cry but I reminded myself it was a game. Why bother about crying? “Oh my God!” someone yelled. I couldn’t care less who it was that talked because I was hurting. Yes, I’m plain compared to my best friend but I don’t think I am that unattractive. “I can’t believe you did that dude.” I looked up at Andre. There was that smug smile again as he high-fived the other stupid boys who were cheering him up.
