Who would come at such an odd time? With that though, she went to the front to open it. Ethan had also come out of his room curious to see who was at the door. Eloisa would not come at this time. Yoonah opened the door to her worst fear. The loan sharks were standing there. She silently led them inside. She had forgotten today's date. Ethan quickly went to call Eloisa. He knew her mother could not handle them alone.

"You still think Skye's just some regular programmer?" Edward's tone was sharp with disbelief. "She's a top-tier hacker I managed to bring back through old connections! Letting her date you back then was me doing you a favor." Julian froze for several seconds, stunned speechless. When he finally found his voice again, it was full of incredulity. "Her?!" "Yes, her!" Edward barked, his patience gone. "Skye was the best match I could've arranged for you, and look what you've done! You went and got another woman pregnant—what a disgrace!"

“You will, too, soon.” He begins to wander off, not in the direction of the manor, but toward the area where my mother had been laid to rest. I have little doubt that he is going to spend some time talking to my mother’s headstone. “He’ll be disappointed if it’s a girl,” Skye says quietly. “I doubt it,” I assure her. “Did you not see the attention he gave Noa?” She looks up at me. “Will you be disappointed?” As long as she doesn’t die, I will be pleased. “Why would I be disappointed when it means we will just have to try all the harder?”

The night breeze was as cold as the savanna forest. The street was quiet for an unknown reason perhaps it was late. She still has a puzzle to solve. It was only one night and I was going crazy.” Cheyenne wrapped her arms around Skylar and held him back. “I didn’t really get the chance to think too much on my one night get away. But I do know I feel drawn to you.”

When he took his eyes back to her beautiful face, he realized she had been looking at him all along. “I hope you enjoy my art as much as I enjoyed making them. Trust me, it was a very arousing experience and don’t tell anyone but I think I’m bringing some of the scenes to life tonight”, Skai said while looking only at Dante and the audience hollered and cheered as they clapped. Walking off the stage, she took timid steps towards Dante. “Hi, I’m Skai Leighton”, she said playfully as she extended a delicate hand to him. “Dante”, he said as he took her hand and kissed it, never breaking eye contact. “I see you had your fun pulling my legs”

He dragged me towards the flower rows and we were moving blindly. I glanced around, hoping none of them had recovered but my eyes landed on Clyde and my hand fell off my nose. He was just…standing there! How? “Come on, Skylar!” Conrad yanked me forward and we jumped over the flowers and began to run through trees. “Where are we going?” I asked, yelling as I stepped over dried shrubs and twigs. With each step, I felt my insides crashing upon each other violently. “We're out of the pack house, we just need to get out of the territory—”

Before he could finish his sentence, I swiftly pulled my hand away and stepped back, as if I were trying to avoid some kind of disease. Kimberly, who had been pushed aside, saw this scene and began to laugh and cry uncontrollably, as if she had lost her mind. “Haha, so it turns out that what you care about isn’t me at all, but the powerful influence of the James family! Whoever the true heiress of the James family is, that’s who you’ll love, right?! How hypocritical you two are!” Both Jason’s and Alex’s expressions changed, and they quickly reprimanded her.

She tried to appear stern, but I knew she was amused. “Alright, alright, come here, you big baby. Let’s get you some hot cocoa before you freeze your little paws off.” We ended up at a cozy café overlooking the frozen lake. The steam from our mugs warmed our faces as we watched skaters glide gracefully across the ice. “It’s beautiful, isn’t it?” Gayle murmured, her gaze fixed on the shimmering expanse. “Yeah,” I agreed, taking a sip of my hot cocoa. “It feels… familiar. All of this. Like we’ve done it before.”

Please, can I stop embarrassing myself for just ten seconds? “You’re her what?!” Skye said with his jaw practically on the floor. His shock isn’t far off from how I felt. You and me both, man. I can’t even tell if I had somehow fallen asleep on the woods and this is, in fact, a very, very elaborate dream because no way in my entire existence did I think the Moon Goddess would have bothered to have given me a mate.
