Greg's voice pierced through my ears. "Yes, Sir," I tried not to sound teary, so I bent down and picked the pieces together, going to take my seat after. "Don't cry, Charity. This is nothing. You can always fix this," I tried to comfort myself, more tears streamed down my cheeks as I tried to gather the pieces together, page by page. "Chase and his friends are here," "Oh my goodness! Chase is looking cute today," "Look at Jaxon's hairstyle. Damn! He is so cute,"

The sound coming from the music background seemed to fade away as I get closer to her direction and just when I was inches away from the stage, I intentionally grabbed her smooth long leg. I want this toy to play with me. As soon as my hands landed at her foreleg, the woman stepped backward and seductively made her way towards the backstage leaving me behind. What the fuck? Another woman emerged out from the other side of the room however; it was not the same as her. My hand turned into a fist. I want her bad; I will get what I want. “Where is your manager?” I shouted atop of my lungs.

Perhaps seeing me standing still made her run to me. Skylar stretched out her trembling hands in front of me while shaking her head. Her eyes were teary. “You can kill her.” Oh, so she’s defending the woman who hurt her? I even came here to punish that woman for her. But what is this? What kind of scene is this? Seriously! I pulled Skylar behind me so she wouldn't block my view of my prey. Meanwhile, Cherry tried to sit up with difficulty, coughing. She cursed me in her heart. Even though her mouth was closed, it was clear in her eyes, and I could read her thoughts.

she said through clenched teeth, “I have all your papers. Misbehave, and I’ll throw you out.” She released me and walked away as if nothing had happened. I held the tears until she disappeared into the Hunters' gigantic mansion. The roar of an engine shattered the moment. I turned just in time to see Chase astride his bike, revving the engine. The machine gleamed beneath him, expensive, powerful, untouchable. Just like him. Before he pulled the helmet on, our eyes locked. His grey gaze hardened instantly, turning cold and unyielding. He lifted two fingers and dragged them slowly across his throat in a silent, mocking warning.

I finally arrived at Hill Pack — the heart of Lupus Celestial. Chase was already waiting at the port, standing beside a sleek black limousine. Tall, broad-shouldered, and exuding dominance, he looked every bit the future Lycan King. But even from a distance, I could tell — he was growing impatient. I approached slowly. “Brother Chase,” I said softly. He froze. His sharp eyes scanned me, stunned by what I had become. I looked down, clutching my hands together to avoid his gaze.

Skye is creating a wedge between them and my mind, refusing to let me be. “Okay, okay, fine, just let me go already!” I pushed her hands off my legs myself. “Aw, thank you. I'm never going to not pay attention ever again” Skye spread out her hands and just threw herself on me, giving me kisses on the face. “Ew, stop, that's so disgusting” I grabbed her face, pulling it away from mine. “What? My kisses are disgusting? Well, you are definitely going to pay for that” She threatened and I swiftly pushed her aside to grab the blanket and cover myself, feeling like it was about to rain in here.

He was impossible, infuriating, and utterly addictive. And as much as she hated to admit it, Xavier was right. She didn’t want to leave. "Xavier, I know what you're trying to do. It won't work on me," Skye said, her voice carrying a mix of defiance and false confidence. She turned away quickly, trying to hide the flush rising on her cheeks, but her body betrayed her. Every nerve tingled under his gaze, her skin heating from the way his eyes roamed over her. She forced herself to keep moving, gathering her clothes in a feeble attempt to escape the tension suffocating the room.
