Chasing Clouds Book Novels & Stories

Eva wasn’t the sort of girl to get her head turned by a good-looking man, but she was a sucker for a man with secrets, given she had one or two of her own. Chase manoeuvred the boat in the direction of the setting sun, which was now a fireball of red suspended on the smoky-blue plane of the horizon. A swathe of stratocumulus clouds reflected the burnished gold of the sun below and the grey and indigo bruise-like streaks of colour above.

It's been a couple of months. The twins are now 10 months. Dad and Stefan Were still searching for the bastard that attacked me. I hope they find him soon. I returned to work. Mom stays with them while we're working. But someone has become too attached to me that me leaving makes them cry so hard. "Mommy is here." I said while hugging Chloe as she cried. Cedric was the most chill twin. While I had Chloe in my arms, he would lay next to me watching Pocoyo.

Damn it. Chase pushed away from his desk, grabbed his coat, and stormed out of the room. By the time he reached the streets, the night was thick with shadows, the air crisp with danger. His pulse pounded. Anything could’ve happened. He shouldn’t have let them leave. And now, he was going to find her—before it was too late. The rain poured relentlessly, turning the city streets into shimmering rivers of light. Chase’s wipers struggled against the downpour, barely clearing his vision as he scanned every corner, every sidewalk.

Chase them—NOW! My breath catches. A clue? To my family? Before I can think twice, I’m already moving. I burst through the back door, my bare feet pounding against the dirt as I chase after the retreating figure. They’re fast, but I push harder, following the fresh footprints pressed into the damp earth. My muscles scream in protest, but I grit my teeth and double my speed, closing the distance. Then, I see them. A figure cloaked in black, gliding through the trees like a shadow. But not fast enough.

What do the new realizations they've made mean for them in the world they've created? Find out in the 2nd book: Chasing Time -- chapters will likely be out on November 27th. Thanks for reading. Please leave a review.

Hey guys, I want to appreciate everyone who reads this book. It means a lot to me. Sooooo, I know some of you might not be happy with the end, but I want you to know it's just a story. And wait, remain calm! There's going to be book two. This is more like a prequel, an introduction to their love story. Book two is titled: Chasing her. It'll be out soon. Yes. Soon. You don't wanna miss book two, do you? 🤔

I would get lost, and caught up in the story and found out another day had gone by, and the sky was getting darker. That day I could feel, someone was watching me from the corner, as I was reading. But I kept on reading anyway, never minding others as I liked to be left alone. Until Laura came to get me and ushered me back to my room. I passed the corner seat and saw a sketch, a beautiful sketch of a woman by the window reading a book with rays of sunshine highlighted her soft pale features. Laura saw to my direction and picked up the sketchbook.

We chose the one in the second row near the window. "Can I sit near the window?" I asked. Mace looked at me like I had asked a silly question. "You can sit wherever you want. There’s no need to ask.” I thanked her before I sat down near the window. I feel more relaxed when I see the swaying trees and a clear blue sky. That's why I always wanted a seat near the window. I pulled out my phone while we waited for the professor. Since it’s our first day, I doubt if they will give us any homework already. I decided to open my social media and upon scrolling, my twin’s beautiful face popped up on my news feed.

she sighed. “I agree. And that’s why Chasing Kitsune is already doing so well on that app Forrest is posting to. People are really into the story. They want to know what happens. Unlike us, the readers don’t know they are still happily together.” I smiled. “Yeah. Though this all makes me wonder if someday people will want to hear our story.” she sighed.

As soon as he realizes I'm still watching, he freezes, then quickly turns on his heel and takes off. I'm intrigued - Why is he trying to escape? My instincts tell me to follow him. I take off in a sprint, as I chase after the suspicious guy. My heart races with adrenaline as I gain on him. Thanks to my track days in high school, I'm able to quickly close the gap between us. I launch myself at him, tackling him to the ground. We both hit the pavement hard, the pain shot hard but I'm grateful that I'm able to catch him.
