The League of Rogues

The League of Rogues

Her role of chaperone was nonsense, everyone but Lady Rochester seemed to know that. "Last I saw, she was in the library." With that, he and Audrey darted up the stairs and vanished from view. Horatia found herself alone in the massive entryway of Rochester Hall. It was a beautiful Georgian country house with sandy stones on the outside and marble within. She admired the tapestries on the walls depicting various scenes of pastoral bliss. Gazing at the scenes, she lost track of time, remembering the last time she'd been here. The memory was still so fresh that she felt it emerge from the gloom of her memory and envelop her fully.

The Shrewd King

The Shrewd King

I am thirty minutes late though because Theo is being such a workaholic that after the party, he still worked on some documents, before hitting the bed. I push open the door and enter. It is undoubtedly the most massive library I have ever set foot into. Unlike Pitchford and Durian’s library, the wall, ceiling, and bookshelves are all painted white. From the outside, it seems like there are only four floors, but looking down, I am actually on the tenth floor, with the basement still way, way down. There are stairs all around, tables and chairs, private areas, and a dizzying amount of books. Even if I spend a werewolf lifetime here, I won’t be able to finish all of these book collections. My

FOR DADDY’S EYES ONLY!

FOR DADDY’S EYES ONLY!

"You said the house was open. I want to see the library again. Properly this time." Roy gestured toward the glass doors. "Be my guest. Just don't expect to find a hidden tunnel behind the bookshelves. I built this house from the ground up. I know every nail." They walked into the library together. The room was a vault of knowledge Roy likely never used. Leather-bound spines lined the walls from floor to ceiling, accessed by a rolling mahogany ladder. Tessa ignored the technical manuals and the biographies of long-dead industrialists. She walked straight to the section where she had found the drawing.

BORN A SHE-WOLF

BORN A SHE-WOLF

Not knowing what to do within the four walls, sitting under the tutelage of two friends, she spent time reading books. The library is large and caters for every taste, from historical novels to mysticism, 20th century literature and Sherlock Holmes antiquarian collections, the first as far back as 1902. But no matter how much I liked to dive into the worlds of the authors, I was haunted by a thick layer of dust on the shelves and books. I decided to do something useful and clean these treasures from years of dirt.

Contract Marriage with the Vampire

Contract Marriage with the Vampire

Of course, Faith was understandably saddened about this, but has now realised that leaving him was one of the best things she ever did. William always managed to pop in to see Faith at least once a day, stealing her breath and making her heart gallop in her chest. A couple of days ago he had taken her to a vast, grandiose library at the end of her floor. It was astounding in Victorian style with a tiled chessboard floor and books covering the walls like moths to a flame. The library was built on two stories, with white ladders allowing you to reach the books at the top. The shelves were all made out of magnificent marble with gold edgings, and on the second floor, there were floor cushions a

His Tutor

His Tutor

His voice was husky and deep. Her core instantly tingled at his words. She looked up at him darkly. “Yes, I think we can make time for that.” ….. After taking another rather long shower, they got dressed and headed for Chatsworth House. It was even more stunning than Miranda had hoped. The 17th century limestone house was clearly built for impact. It was so beautifully crafted, that you couldn’t imagine the land without it. 100’s of windows made Miranda wonder how many people had looked out of each one over the centuries.

Such a sweet story! Happy with how it ended, although the ending felt kind of rushed and sudden... any chance there will be a sequel of some kind or at least a few bonus chapters for an update? That would be awesome author!! Either way, great job 😊

The Dragon King's Obsession

The Dragon King's Obsession

When they were cleaning around the west area a few days ago , Charlotte noticed a giant door . She asked Rana about it and she told her that this was the royal library . Charlotte loved reading . The only thing that she enjoyed when she was at school were the hours that she spent reading books in the library . At home she had to work but at school she had all the time in the world to read in teh library without being disturbed by anyone . Even if someone had a comment about her they had no choice but to keep quiet since it was forbidden to talk and raise the voice inside a library .

Although I agree with another comment about some issues with grammar and spelling it really isn't that bad compared to almost all other stories I've read here and I have to say that this story really struck a cord in my heart. Such a lovely and inspiring story and I am very pleased with how it ended

Dante said. Elian looked at him. "Both," he said. "Yes." The library was on Whitchurch Road, as she'd said, and had been there since 1906, as she'd said, and did not go anywhere. It was a Victorian building with the specific confidence of something built during a period that believed in permanence, solid and red-bricked and entirely sure of itself, and it smelled, inside, the way libraries that have been libraries for a very long time smell — the accumulated breath of a hundred years of reading, paper and wood and something that was neither but was both.

The CEO's Fated Queen: Reclaiming the Stolen Empire

The CEO's Fated Queen: Reclaiming the Stolen Empire

"Child, you don't need to ask. This house is far too quiet anyway. The library is yours. Use whatever you need. Knowledge is the only thing they can't take away from a woman." Zara felt a lump in her throat. "Thank you, Begum." "Go," Salma smiled. "But don't stay up too late. The law is a jealous master; it will steal your sleep if you let it." The Midnight Library Zara waited until the house went silent. She changed into her simplest cotton suit—the one she had arrived in—and made her way down the dark hallways. The library was a cathedral of lost knowledge. The ceiling was so high it was lost in darkness, and the walls were lined with thousands of leather-bound books that smelled of aged p

Chaitali: The Saga begins

Chaitali: The Saga begins

It is here just for the sake of it. I shuffle through the aisles, going through titles after titles. This is one of the most equipped libraries in Chaitali. From the first ancestral history to modern science. I can find almost every cover in here. I take a random book and make it to the desk where loose-leafs were scattered all over. Ellizzian 's Journal: The title reads.
