LEONARD’S POV: “What?Cherry ?How is this possible?How is she the CEO of the company?” I stood being startled. I could see Cherry was now a new person.All I knew I could do at that instant was to make sure that I had to make sure I do not have any eye contact with Cherry . I also made sure I was not noticed by anyone or anything that would make me noticed. I got to manage myself to not get into eye contact with Cherry because the L’Avogue company was one of my investors. I made sure I left the party on time.

My head is fuzzy with need and love. I've tried like hell not to mix our magic, but I can't stop it any more. The moment my magic reaches out for hers, we react. He helps me out of my heels. “Yes!” I throw my hands. “Goddess, can’t you feel it? I can feel it, These stupid sparks, every time you touch me. Every time you’re near me, there is nothing else I can think about. How can’t you feel it?” I shout at him. “How don’t you know we’re mates?” I throw my hand over my mouth and take a few steps back. My eyes wide with shock. “What?” He growls. I just shake my head and grip my hand tighter over my mouth. “Say it again, Chiara.”

She wasn't dropping her gaze now and her alpha's scent rolled from her body in waves. He shook his head slightly to recover from the effects of her power and the sexual attraction he was feeling. "There are no demons here. Kinsee is a young child and she's precious to us. Cheri, with the teeth, is a vampire and she is our queen. I know this doesn't make sense but I won't let anyone harm you." Her face betrayed she had little understanding of what he was saying. She was his mate and he opened his link with her mind not sure if it would work.

I sip on my pineapple juice while they continue to chitchat. It stopped when the two returned.

I wouldn't put him or anyone else in jeopardy. Plus, my idea might not even work. I had no clue how to get into or leave Sharra. In the past, it just sort of happened. But I needed to try. The gardens around the castle. The castle itself. The different rooms I was in, including the bedroom where I kissed Christopher. The bathroom where I spoke with Zenny in the mirror. In past years, someone would have started clapping by now. But this year, no one did. Polly Malfoy, a newcomer who had joined three months ago, was the first to lift her head.
