The Return of Luna

The Return of Luna

Edward casually took a seat; Jacky and Ninth Princess sat nearby, watching the chess game. This chessboard was a treasure of the Princess's palace. The entire board was carved from a single piece of pure white and flawless jade, emitting a gentle radiance, intermingling with the green to create an enchanting contrast that made it hard to look away. Gold threads separated the squares, casting a golden glow that instantly identified them as pure gold of the highest quality. The chess pieces were made of gold and placed on the jade board, sparkling like tiny suns. The appearance of this exquisite and

Ex-Husband, You Don't Own me

Ex-Husband, You Don't Own me

The chess pieces were made of jade, and the chessboard was carved from a fine white jade that was very smooth and pleasant. Danny was still young, so even though he was intelligent, playing chess was still difficult. Dexie sat with him on the carpet next to Luke and played chess. Danny was quiet and didn't talk much while playing. At first, he was unfamiliar with the game, but after two

Too bad the translation of this asian novel is messed up and the pronouns are mixed up constantly. The story is difficult to follow because of these faults. Too bad, it was interesting at first but I'm quitting. This app should really do something about the quality of some of these stories.

this novel caught my interest, and now I'm enjoying this read. just hesitant on how much filler will be encountered during this trading journey, or will it be a continuous eventful ride until the end. hoping for an eventful ride... ...🫣...

‎“She didn’t even flinch.” ‎Mateo replied calmly. ‎“She understood the assignment.” ‎That was the end of it. ‎No ceremony. ‎No discussion. ‎But everything had changed. ‎Reputation builds in quiet ways at first. ‎Stories passed between men. ‎About the girl who didn’t react. ‎Who didn’t panic. ‎Who didn’t hesitate. ‎“She plays it like a game,” someone said once. ‎Another laughed. ‎“Like blackjack. One move. Done.” ‎The name formed naturally.

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

E.C. EDWARDS - The Mighty Antimagic Spell

Elizabeth was delighted at the view offered by that enchanted chessboard. “If I knew chess was so interesting, I’d have started playing earlier. This chess board, compared to the one at the orphanage is great. The boys who played there had a decrepit board, and the pieces were chewed by the mice ... some were missing and replaced with smaller or larger stones with the piece drawn on them with coal.”

THE GAME

THE GAME

Then stopped as if remembering something. " But if he's called off the bet, how the hell are we going to know if he really has feelings for you?" She asked. I pondered on it for a while and thats when I smirked. " Just because a player quits doesn't mean the game's over." I said and stared ahead. Ariana watched me keenly. " And what do you have in mind?" She asked menacingly. I chuckled. " Its a game right?" " Right." " Then we keep on playing...." I said and glanced at her. She grinned wildly and hugged me tightly.

Moon Gate Guardians

Moon Gate Guardians

The office filled with the serenity of the subtle white noise of each person’s solitary or otherwise mundane activities. It was the frustrated sigh which stood out amongst them as Chiri stared at the black and white squares of the board in front of her. The mild amusement that her opponent as he derived some enjoyment at her expense, evident by the sly smirk on his face. Chiri finally plucked her bishop from the board, her brow furrowing as she placed the piece in the last movement available to her, she slouched back onto the soft leather couch in resignation.

I baked you some cookies to show that I am really sorry and also Merry Christmas! I made you a cheap present. I made it so it's priceless. Hope you like it. Remember my name is Dahlia, the beautiful flower that means Dignity and Elegance. I saw Lucas staring at me, awed as for the first time, I smiled, a genuine smile after reading the note with a flower scribbled at the end of the note that maybe was a dahlia by the shape of it. That girl was definitely not elegant but her name was as beautiful as her.

she responded, uninterested. "We belong from political families. Playing games is something that we have in our blood. So let's play a game," he teased. His words were somewhat making her wonder, but she was too stubborn to give in to him. "What game?" She questioned. "A game of chess," he winked. "Have you forgotten? That the most powerful piece in the game of chess is the queen. The king's life would revolve around the moves of the queen. So, are you really willing to play a game of chess, darling?" She smirked.

Alpha's Check Mate

Alpha's Check Mate

I drank the remaining juice in my glass, and then placed it on top of the small center table in front of me. On it I could see a small chessboard, with properly placed glass pieces. I delicately grabbed one of the pieces, analyzing it wholely, before placing it on the place where it previously was. -You like chess, Lauren? -I heard Camila's voice ask. I looked away from the chessboard and stared at the brunette in front of me. And fuck, she could only be playing with my psychological. Camila was wearing relatively short shorts, cream colored, a loose navy blue blouse with a large collar, allowing

In the Grip of king Roderick

In the Grip of king Roderick

Moves and counter-moves unfolded on the chessboard like a symphony, each piece a note in the grand composition of the match. As the match neared its climax, Roberick found himself in an unfamiliar position. Lysandra had cornered his king, leaving him with limited options. The pressure was on, and the court watched in breathless silence. In the end, it was Lysandra who emerged victorious, her strategy and foresight proving superior. With a graceful checkmate, she captured Roberick's king, ending the match in her favor. The court erupted into applause, acknowledging her remarkable skill.
