Jamie had always been a quiet boy, but there was one thing that brought him real joy—his pet hamster, Chippy. It was small and brown with white patches, and Jamie loved it dearly. Every morning, before going to school, he would feed Chippy and check if the water bottle was full. At night, he sat by its cage, talking softly to it like it was his best friend. Chippy never talked back, of course, but to Jamie, Chippy always listened. It was the one little friend that didn’t argue, didn’t shout, and never made him feel alone.

“Alright!” The machine had a lot of stuffed toys inside from various cartoons and most of them are Pokémon dolls. I saw a fluffy Jigglypuff, two flaming Charmanders and even a wrongfully stuffed Celebi that looked like it’s been smoking pot. But out of all of them, I really liked the Pikachu one mostly because it’s been my favorite even after many generations. “I’m telling you it’s a scam.” Xavier muttered still keeping his sentiments. Maybe it’s a scam. Maybe it’s not.

Sebastian asked, struggling to hold back his laughter. Tera snorted but still answered, "Oh, yes. So, in that cartoon, there's a character named SpongeBob, the yellow one, and there's the boss of the Krusty Krab who sells Krabby Patty and is so stingy. The boss is named Mr. Krabs and he has a whale as a child." "Wait. You mean a crab has a whale child? How is that possible, crossing species like that?" "Boss, it can be, don't question the logic of everything, this is just a cartoon." "Yes, but..."

Tristan’s emerald eyes catch mine in silent glee. Our spirit animals are bigger than their natural counterparts, with Tristan’s fox nearly as big as any wolf. “Hey!” Cain’s voice roars across the front yard, but it’s too late.

Rhiannon’s POV “Hey.” Stephen leant down and kissed the crown of my head, before moving down to scratch behind my fox’s ears. The little creature came everywhere with me, now. I hadn’t named him, not properly – I just called him Foxy, which Cin had taken and morphed into Foxy Spangles, for some reason that I honestly doubted even made any sort of sense to her. I smiled up at him, tipping my head back so I could kiss him. “Hi,” I said against his lips, my smile growing wider as he grinned against my mouth.

James steps over to answer it and the two small girls from earlier rush in as soon as the door is cracked. “Hi! I’m Daisy this is my sister Rose. I’m the oldest by 2 minutes.” Two little faces are looking up at me with sandy blond hair, freckles, and bright green eyes. “What’s your name? Are you our new ant? We saw you.
