The Dragon's Chubby Treasure Chapter 37: Monster in the House The room fell into complete silence for one terrifying second. Draven stood in the shattered doorway like a nightmare come to life. Blood dripped from his claws onto the wooden floor. His red eyes burned with fury and dark hunger as they locked onto me. His partially scaled body was massive, towering over everyone in the small house. More of his crimson scales had faded since the last time I saw him, but he still looked every bit the ruthless dragon.

I may have gone a tad overboard, but if there's one day to be extra, this is it. While I helped fill goodie bags with dino stickers and gummy fossils, I kept glancing at Chen's costume. A plush green triceratops onesie, complete with a tail that wagged behind him as he bounced around in excitement. The coordinators made sure each kid had a dinosaur tail and hat, too. It was absolute chaos in the best possible way.

Damn, I guess his mansplaining helped. A row of cheap stuffed animals hangs from a rope against the wall and I scan them all deciding which to take home with me. There's a bright pink panda bear with eyes a little too closely set to one another. A blue teddy bear holds a heart with love stitched across it in a swirly font, in case anyone wants to out themselves in an inner-office relationship I guess. They're kind of pathetic, exactly what you'd expect from a carnival. My eyes fall on a green frog with longer than normal legs and I decide he's my prize since it fits with the game.

" Bamboo heard a great noise like the whirr of enormous wings, and then, looking up, saw a huge dragon just in front of him. He knew it was a dragon from the pictures he had seen and the carvings in the temples. the dragon and the turtle had no sooner greeted each other, both very happy at the meeting, than they were joined by a queer-looking bird, unlike any that Bamboo had ever seen, but which he knew was the phcenix. this phoenix looked somewhat like a wild swan, but it had the bill of a cock, the neck of a snake, the tail of a fish and the stripes of a dragon. Its feathers were of five colors. when the three friends had chatted merrily for a few minutes, the turtle told them how Bamboo h

As warriors, they had keen senses and felt a strong sense of danger. Bang! The ground in the north, south, east, and west of the Second Heaven suddenly exploded, and four huge stone sculptures slowly rose up. The four stone sculptures were four auspicious animals: Azure Dragon, White Tiger, Red Peacock, and Black Tortoise. What was even more terrifying was that as soon as the sculptures rose into the air, a terrifying evil spirit began to spread out. In addition, the four auspicious animals were more like four demonic beasts. Each had a hideous face and blood-red eyes. They were full of bloodthirst and evil spirits.

Annabelle “These are all the documents?” I ask before grabbing the large envelope from the forger. I watch his beady eyes scan me as I open it and examine each one to make sure he isn’t trying to deceive me, but the crook is telling the truth. I sigh in relief. Everything I need to become the Dragon King’s surrogate is here: A new birth certificate, a fake lineage line, and a fake certificate of noble blood to boot- the most important one I need.

The wardrobe was jammed with colorful, exotic garments, but one object caught her eye: a large curved helmet. It was heavy, made mostly of thick leather straps stitched together with tight seams. At the front was a smooth bronze plate with an ornate fire-breathing dragon carved into the metal. The dragon was the zodiac animal of the kings birth year. Chi floated toward her. What are you doing with the kings helmet? Lawrence slid the helmet onto her head, tucking her black hair inside it. Then she opened the other side of the wardrobe, thrilled and nervous about what she had found.

she held up the lollipop in front of Karl's face, which frowned in confusion before finally, the man laughed at what she said. "Me?" "I'm serious! Why are you laughing?" she said again when she saw the laughing Karl. “I wonder what a dragon actually looks like. I mean, the dragons that I knew all the times are only from the legends or folktales. It's not like you. For instance, in China, the dragon doesn't have wings and their shape is like a snake with natural elements. Or in India, the dragon in their legend looks more like a snake in size and has a cute face—"

Leslie and Amara slowly walked through the booths and admired the handcrafted pieces that were for sale. Leslie walked over to a small wooden figurine that sat displayed on the top shelf of one of the displays. It was ornate in its design, with many fine details of a Dragon that had been painted an iridescent white. She smiled as she touched the item. "Do you like that one?" Amara asked her as she stood beside her and admired it as well. It was a beautiful piece and must have taken a long time to complete.
