​I literally gravitated toward a massive, glowing claw machine near the front. Inside was a mountain of plush, soft toys. I slipped a token into the slot, my hands gripping the joystick with unnecessary intensity. I carefully lined up the metal claw over a cream-colored bunny with long, floppy ears, my lower lip tucked between my teeth as I pressed the button. ​The claw dropped, clamped feebly around the bunny's head, and immediately dropped it back into the pile as it retracted. ​"Ah," I breathed, a genuine pout slipping onto my face.

I must have drifted through a portal into another dimension and this clown is the ruler of this new land I am in. “Clown?” he says confusedly as he moves his arms around me. “You are a sexy clown, are you not? You have cotton candy hair, and your skin is like a coloring book! Do you have more markers for us to color the rest of you with, Mr. Clown?” “What…the…fuck?” I giggle as I get back up on my feet, making him stumble backward into the grass. I sit on top of him and give him another hug, which makes my entire body vibrate.

In the center of the room stood a freestanding wooden dollhouse, its three stories overflowing with miniature furniture and tiny figurines. Declan's mouth watered as his eyes smiled at the food on the food cart. I don't know how the fuck he could be hungry with the whole place smelling like inside a rotting corpse. The hairs on the back of my neck stood up when I heard the carnival anthem playing. "Step right up! Step right up! Zombies and ghouls, banshees and golems!" A fat clown announced as his crooked lips fester into a frightening frown. We paused as he continued. "Step right up and try something new! That's right folks, we're tasting new things today." It pointed at us. I jumped to the side, making sure his nasty finger was pointing directly at Declan.

And I promise to clean everything afterward! A hand grabs her phone as Clarence sends the message when I hear the clicking sound. “H-hey!” I turn to glare at him. “You’re taking so long that I look like an idiot carrying all these!” Ah, right. As soon as Clarence’s driver came back from his speedy shopping, he brought a lot of materials that were more than enough for our diorama. But because I told Clarence that I live nearby, he asked the driver to leave us be. So we can say, we have 8 paper bags of mini figurines, paint, stationary tools, and some paperboard.

I figured it understood my message because it let out another cheerful whistle and drew closer to me. Stretching forth a hand, my palm brushed over the creature's head, giving it a soft pat. It let out a low soft whistle and it wasn't long after, a louder whistle pierced my ears. Clifford appeared, holding onto a second dolphin's fin as it swarm towards us. Upon seeing the other, my dolphin left my side, greeting its partner with a cheerful whistle. Clifford and I swarm back up to refill our lungs with air and he showed me his stash of seashells which had suddenly increased thanks to his dolphin.

We slipped past the line of families waiting to purchase their way in, and waltzed right inside. “Show off,” he winked. Lining the main path were booths of various games, each one packed full of colorful stuffed animals that had the children scrambling for their parents' money. There were games with balloons you had to pop using sharp little darts, and games with colorful rings meant to be tossed onto glass bottles. I glanced over to find a few teenagers arguing over one of those water gun games where you hit the target—which in this case was a creepy rendition of a laughing clown—and watch as it shoots upwards.

Don't I look pathetic? A tissue appeared right in front of me. I was silent for a few moments. The tissue owner is none other than someone wearing a clown costume. The clown face is wearing a colorful mask with a round nose. I chuckled as the clown danced while rubbing his bloated belly, maybe the size of his belly is the same size as 2 basketball. "Take this tissue from this handsome clown. You don't have to worry, I'm not a bad person." The clown wrote on the small blackboard he was carrying.

Not far from him was a pretty little girl about 3 or 4 years old wearing a white princess dress, playing. "There's a clown over there, I want to go see him." The little girl quickly said, but the man was too focused to hear his daughter's words. The little girl thought her father had agreed, so she quickly ran to the other side of the street. "Clown, can you give me a balloon?" The little girl asked. "Oh, this little treasure is so beautiful, I'll give it to you." The clown saw the beautiful little girl and immediately gave her the most beautiful balloon.

“Definitely. He loves smashing things.” “Hm. I sense a theme,” Ellen murmured. Sofia giggled. “Alright, a smash cake and a main cake. Now; entertainment: clown? puppet show? baby-friendly DJ? mascots?” “No mascots,” I said instantly, shuddering. “Those costumes freak me out.” “Puppet show, then?” Sofia asked. Ellen leaned forward, eyes bright. “He will LOVE that.” “Yes,” I said. “Let’s do a puppet show.”
