Chu Xun was stunned by what he had just done with the saber. "So the legends are true? These beasts really do exist?" uttered Chu Xun in amazement. He had always thought the beasts like Tao Tie (mythological beast of gluttony), Suan Ni (legendary feline progeny of the dragon), and Tao Wu (mythological beast of recklessness and stubbornness) as mere figments of imagination.

A good place to read and study. After placing my things on the seat, I make my way straight to the mythology section of the library. In this part of the place, you could see different kinds of myths; Greek, Norse, Asian and more. Upon scanning the title of the displayed books, my eyes were caught by a familiar author, Priam. I hurriedly extend my hand to reach for the book, but another hand grab onto it first. I turned my head to the direction of the owner of that hand, it was a man just a little bit inches taller than me.

Didn't it suggest that no one had been in here since I left? That was the best possible explanation I could come up with. Regardless I picked up an old book, flipping through its pages, I ended up on a page it was titled: The Moon Goddess. It was probably a myth about the sun and the moon goddess, just a bunch of stories told to young werewolves, sometimes it was meant to scare them, other times to educate. I slammed the book close, I wasn't here for fairy tales and myths. I was here for legends, actually stories that had something to do with me.

Calix asked after a long moment of silence, pulling out a book from the small stack on my desk. “That is a book of tales and myths about our people.” I said, smiling when he placed the book next to me on the loveseat. “It holds the story of the original Shifters and the Four Sacred Dragons that founded the four Kingdoms.” Calix climbed onto the seat and grabbed the book, raising it to me as he settled against the armrest. “Would you like me to read it to you?” I smiled as he nodded again, his brown hair bouncing around as he leaned in a little closer.

She fell asleep quickly, and I pulled out the book I had been reviewing earlier today. This was another book about myths and legends. The first section was about the improbability of a human mate. It obviously wasn’t helpful since I have a human mate, but I read it anyway to see if there was any information we could use. Unfortunately, the book didn’t provide any helpful insight. I began flipping through the pages, scanning for anything about human mates, visions, or the legend of the human line destined to give power to one special wolf.

I am afraid but I must fuel my curiosity. My fingers trail over books as I use my eyes to search. “History of the Great Wars. Wolf-Clan Genealogies.” Useless!! In a corner, I find a smaller shelf with older, cracked bindings. One title stands out: Creatures of Myth and Scarcity. I pull it free, coughing at the plume of dust, and sink to the floor in a pool of blue velvet. I open it. Swan Mythology. It is exactly what I am looking for.
