Conrod opened a page with the heading "Beliefs of the Ancient Slavs." His eyes darted over the letters, putting words together and squeezing information out of them. He carefully read:

Phil took the stack of bond paper and proceeded to read it while Samantha was beside him waiting to finish reading it. The paper talks about the things Phil needed, more information about the abyss, and the miasma. It talked about how the miasma is supposed to be the blood from a godlike creature imprisoned in the farthest depth of the abyss and how it corrupted its surroundings creating nightmarish creatures. Phil was a little disappointed at first because the information might be interesting it was no use for him right now until he read the third page.

Besides its beautiful sunsets, Manila Bay is also famous for its “sirenas” or “mermaids”… during my time that is. The local comic book story Dyesebel had its origins in these countless mermen and mermaids folklore as well. Besides, this isn't the only place in the world that boasts of mermaid sitings so one has to wonder, right?
