I bite my lip, waiting. Then the DJ announces a private dance for one of the VIPs. Brittany blows a kiss to the crowd and saunters toward the private rooms. I follow quietly, heart pounding with dark excitement. I position myself near the half-open door, hidden in the shadows, veil hiding my smirk. Inside, Brittany starts the private show. She dances seductively for the rich older client, turning, bending, teasing. She spins, drops into a squat, then rises slowly. The strap snaps.

I watched as Brittany stood tall and put on her pathetic, innocent-looking face. “Beck!” she cried as she ran to him. “Little Miss Crazy made me fall!” she whined as she hugged him. “It’s called tripping on air you idiot.” Elena mumbled, causing me to chuckle.
